我要因世界的邪惡懲罰世界，因惡人的罪孽懲罰惡人；我要使傲慢人的驕傲止息，使強橫者的高傲降卑。

我必因邪恶刑罚世界，因罪孽刑罚恶人，使骄傲人的狂妄止息，制伏强暴人的狂傲。

我必因其壞透而察罰世界，因其罪孽而刑罰惡人；我必使傲慢人的狂傲止息，使強橫人的驕傲卑抑下來。

我必緣邪慝而罰斯世、因罪愆而懲惡人、止驕者之傲、抑暴者之高、

天下億兆、咎戾滋多、主必罰之、高者降之為卑、強者汰其驕心、

我必因世之惡罰世、懲惡人之罪愆、息滅驕奢者之威勢、制伏強暴者之傲氣、

I will punish the world for its evil, the wicked for their sins. I will put an end to the arrogance of the haughty and will humble the pride of the ruthless.

The Lord will punish the world because it is so evil. He will punish evil people for their sins. He’ll put an end to the bragging of those who are proud. He’ll bring down the pride of those who don’t show any pity.

I will punish the world for its evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; I will put an end to the pomp of the arrogant, and lay low the pompous pride of the ruthless.

“ I, the Lord, will punish the world for its evil and the wicked for their sin. I will crush the arrogance of the proud and humble the pride of the mighty.

I will punish the world for its evil, and wicked people for their iniquities. I will put an end to the pride of the arrogant and humiliate the insolence of tyrants.

So I will punish the world for its evil And the wicked for their wrongdoing; I will also put an end to the audacity of the proud And humiliate the arrogance of the tyrants.

「至於你，他的繼位人伯沙撒啊！你雖然知道這一切，自己的心卻不降卑，反而對天上的主高舉自己，讓人把他殿中的器皿帶到你面前來，你和你的大臣們、妻子們、妃嬪們都用這些來喝酒；你稱讚那些不能看、不能聽、不能知——用金、銀、銅、鐵、木、石所做的神明，卻不尊崇那位掌握你的氣息、掌握你一切道路的神。

到那日，人眼目的高慢必成卑賤，人的高傲也必會降卑，唯獨耶和華被高舉。

到那日，人的高慢必會降卑，人的高傲必成卑賤；唯獨耶和華被高舉，

人必被降卑，個個卑賤，眼目高傲的也都卑賤。

看哪！耶和華就要從自己的地方出來，懲罰地上居民的罪孽；地必顯露其中的血，不再遮蓋被殺的人。

你們要為他的子孫預備好屠宰場，這是因他們祖先的罪孽；他們絕不會再興起、占有地土、在世上布滿城鎮。」

惡人卻有禍了，他們必遭災難，因為他們手所做的必回報到自己身上。

大地悲涼凋萎，世界衰落凋萎，地上權高位重的人也衰落了。大地被其上的居民玷汙，因為他們違背律法，違犯律例，破壞永遠的約。因此詛咒吞噬大地，其上的居民必承受罪責；因此地上的居民被焚燒，只有少數人殘留下來。

他必以公義審斷貧弱者，以正直裁決世上的卑微人；以口中的杖擊打世界，以嘴裡的氣殺死惡人。

「明亮的晨星，黎明之子啊，你怎麼會從天墜落呢？你這擊敗列國的，怎麼會被砍倒在地呢？你心裡曾說：『我要升到天上，我要高舉我的寶座在神的眾星之上，我要坐在北方極處的聚會山上，我要升到雲端之上，我要使自己與至高者相比。』然而你必被丟下陰間，下到陰坑的極處！「那些看見你的都必注視你，他們要審視你，說：『那使大地顫抖，使列國震動的，難道就是這人嗎？

他用強有力的聲音呼喊說：「倒塌了！大巴比倫倒塌了！她成了鬼魔居住的地方、一切汙靈的巢穴、一切汙穢鳥類的巢穴、一切汙穢可憎野獸的巢穴。原來萬國都喝了她淫亂憤怒的酒，地上的眾君王曾與她行淫亂，地上的商人也由於她極度的驕奢淫逸而發了財。」

於是那巨龍被摔了下來。牠就是那古蛇，被稱為魔鬼和撒旦，那迷惑普天下的。牠被摔在地上，牠的使者們也與牠一起被摔了下來。隨後，我聽見天上有一個大聲音說：「我們神的救恩、大能、國度，和他基督的權柄，現在都來到了！因為我們弟兄的控告者，就是那日夜在我們神面前控告他們的，已經被摔下去了。
