and he will delight in the fear of the Lord. He will not judge by what he sees with his eyes, or decide by what he hears with his ears;

The Branch will take delight in respecting the Lord. He will not judge things only by the way they look. He won’t make decisions based simply on what people say.

And his delight shall be in the fear of the Lord. He shall not judge by what his eyes see, or decide disputes by what his ears hear,

He will delight in obeying the Lord. He will not judge by appearance nor make a decision based on hearsay.

His delight will be in the fear of the LORD. He will not judge by what he sees with his eyes, he will not execute justice by what he hears with his ears,

And He will delight in the fear of the Lord, And He will not judge by what His eyes see, Nor make decisions by what His ears hear;

His delight will be in the fear of Yahweh. He will not judge by the sight of his eyes, neither decide by the hearing of his ears;

Stop judging by mere appearances, but instead judge correctly.” (niv)

You judge by human standards; I pass judgment on no one.But if I do judge, my decisions are true, because I am not alone. I stand with the Father, who sent me. (niv)

But the Lord said to Samuel,“ Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” (niv)

then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God. (niv)

So give your servant a discerning heart to govern your people and to distinguish between right and wrong. For who is able to govern this great people of yours?” (niv)

But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil. (niv)

And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man. (niv)

And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight,so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, (niv)

Then you will understand what is right and just and fair— every good path. (niv)

Does not the ear test words as the tongue tastes food? (niv)

“ And now your servant says,‘ May the word of my lord the king secure my inheritance, for my lord the king is like an angel of God in discerning good and evil. May the Lord your God be with you.’” (niv)

When all Israel heard the verdict the king had given, they held the king in awe, because they saw that he had wisdom from God to administer justice. (niv)

He will be the sure foundation for your times, a rich store of salvation and wisdom and knowledge; the fear of the Lord is the key to this treasure. (niv)

He did not need any testimony about mankind, for he knew what was in each person. (niv)

I care very little if I am judged by you or by any human court; indeed, I do not even judge myself.My conscience is clear, but that does not make me innocent. It is the Lord who judges me.Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time; wait until the Lord comes. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of the heart. At that time each will receive their praise from God. (niv)
