我的手既抓到這些偶相之國，就是有雕像勝過耶路撒冷和撒瑪利亞的之雕像的，

我的手已經伸到了這些拜偶像的國家，他們的雕刻偶像比耶路撒冷和撒馬利亞還多，

我手已及偶像之國、其雕像、越於耶路撒冷與撒瑪利亞之偶像、

列國之偶像、較耶路撒冷、撒馬利亞尤眾、亦為我所翦滅。

崇事虛神之各國、其偶像較耶路撒冷與撒瑪利亞之偶像尤多、悉為我所滅、所滅或作所得

As my hand seized the kingdoms of the idols, kingdoms whose images excelled those of Jerusalem and Samaria—

My powerful hand grabbed hold of kingdoms whose people worship statues of gods. They had more gods than Jerusalem and Samaria did.

As my hand has reached to the kingdoms of the idols, whose carved images were greater than those of Jerusalem and Samaria,

Yes, we have finished off many a kingdom whose gods were greater than those in Jerusalem and Samaria.

As my hand seized the kingdoms of worthless images, kingdoms whose idols exceeded those of Jerusalem and Samaria,

As my hand has reached to the kingdoms of the idols, Whose carved images were greater than those of Jerusalem and Samaria,

As my hand hath found the kingdoms of the idols, whose graven images did excel them of Jerusalem and of Samaria;

As my hand seized the idolatrous kingdoms, whose idols exceeded those of Jerusalem and Samaria,

As my hand hath found the kingdoms of the idols, and whose graven images did excel them of Jerusalem and of Samaria;

I overpowered kingdoms ruled by idols, whose carved images were more impressive than Jerusalem’s or Samaria’s.

As my hand has found the kingdoms of the idols, whose engraved images exceeded those of Jerusalem and of Samaria;

And they spoke against the God of Jerusalem, as against the gods of the people of the earth— the work of men’s hands.

My hand has found like a nest the riches of the people, And as one gathers eggs that are left, I have gathered all the earth; And there was no one who moved his wing, Nor opened his mouth with even a peep.”

Have the gods of the nations delivered those whom my fathers have destroyed, Gozan and Haran and Rezeph, and the people of Eden who were in Telassar?Where is the king of Hamath, the king of Arpad, and the king of the city of Sepharvaim, Hena, and Ivah?’”

Has any of the gods of the nations at all delivered its land from the hand of the king of Assyria?Where are the gods of Hamath and Arpad? Where are the gods of Sepharvaim and Hena and Ivah? Indeed, have they delivered Samaria from my hand?Who among all the gods of the lands have delivered their countries from my hand, that the Lord should deliver Jerusalem from my hand?’”

Truly, Lord, the kings of Assyria have laid waste the nations and their lands,and have cast their gods into the fire; for they were not gods, but the work of men’s hands— wood and stone. Therefore they destroyed them.Now therefore, O Lord our God, I pray, save us from his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that You are the Lord God, You alone.”

Has not the same Hezekiah taken away His high places and His altars, and commanded Judah and Jerusalem, saying,“ You shall worship before one altar and burn incense on it”?Do you not know what I and my fathers have done to all the peoples of other lands? Were the gods of the nations of those lands in any way able to deliver their lands out of my hand?Who was there among all the gods of those nations that my fathers utterly destroyed that could deliver his people from my hand, that your God should be able to deliver you from my hand?Now therefore, do not let Hezekiah deceive you or persuade you like this, and do not believe him; for no god of any nation or kingdom was able to deliver his people from my hand or the hand of my fathers. How much less will your God deliver you from my hand?’”Furthermore, his servants spoke against the Lord God and against His servant Hezekiah.
