以法蓮受擊打，他們的根枯乾了，果子結不了啦；就使生產了，我也必殺死他們所愛的胎兒。

以法莲受责罚，根本枯干，必不能结果，即或生产，我必杀他们所生的爱子。”

Ephraim is blighted, their root is withered, they yield no fruit. Even if they bear children, I will slay their cherished offspring.”

Ephraim is like a worthless plant. Its roots are dried up. It does not produce any fruit. Suppose Ephraim’s people have children. Then I will kill the children they love so much.”

以法蓮呢——他們的榮耀必像鳥兒飛去：沒有生產、沒有懷胎、沒有成孕。就使他們把兒女養大，我也必使他們喪失兒子，一個不留。我離開他們時，他們就有禍了！以法蓮、據我看、他兒女是註定被獵取的；以法蓮必將兒女帶出、交於肆行殺戮的人。

「你要告訴以色列家說：主永恆主這麼說：看吧，我必使我的聖所、你們勢力所驕矜的、你們眼裏所喜愛的、你們心中所愛惜的、被褻瀆；你們留下的兒女必倒斃於刀下。

因為他們種的是風，收成的必是暴風；發生的苗成不了禾稼，也磨不出麵粉；即使磨得出，外族人也必吞喫。

他們剛栽上，剛種上，其樹𣎴子剛札根在地裏，他一吹，他們便枯乾，旋風就把他們帶走、像碎稭一樣。

『因為你看、萬軍之永恆主說：那日來到、燃燒着像火爐：一切傲慢的、一切行惡的、都必成了碎稭；那要來到的日子必將他們燒滅掉，不給留下根頭或枝條。

火舌怎樣吞滅碎稭，乾草怎樣銷沉於火燄中，他們的根也必怎樣像朽爛之物，他們的花必像飛塵上騰；因為他們棄絕了萬軍之永恆主的指教，藐視了以色列之聖者的訓言。

以法蓮欺壓人，蹂躪是非；因為他情願隨從虛空神。
