Foreigners sap his strength, but he does not realize it. His hair is sprinkled with gray, but he does not notice.

People from other lands make them weaker and weaker. But they don’t realize it. Their hair is becoming gray. But they don’t even notice it.

Strangers devour his strength, and he knows it not; gray hairs are sprinkled upon him, and he knows it not.

Worshiping foreign gods has sapped their strength, but they don’t even know it. Their hair is gray, but they don’t realize they’re old and weak.

义人死亡，没有人放在心上；忠诚的人被接去，没有人理会。义人被接去脱离祸患，

你们的国土荒凉，你们的城市被火烧毁；你们的田地，在你们面前被外族人吞噬，荒凉得就像被外族人覆灭了一样。

但这子民是被掠夺、被抢掠的，全被困陷在洞穴中，被关藏在牢房里。他们成了掠物，无人解救；他们成了掳物，无人说：“把他们还回来！”你们中间谁肯侧耳听这话，谁肯为着今后留心听呢？是谁把雅各交出去作掳物，把以色列交给了掠夺者呢？难道不是我们对他犯罪的耶和华吗？因为他们不肯行他的道，也不听从他的律法，所以他把猛烈的怒火和惨烈的战火都倾泻在以色列身上；火就在他们四围烧起，他们却不明白，火烧着了他们，他们也不放在心上。
