今干罪愈甚、以銀鑄像、循其聰明造偶、悉為工匠所製、指之而言曰、任獻祭者與犢接吻、

今為惡益甚、匠人以巧捷之技、鎔銀鑄像、祭司命眾、敬彼犢像、接吻以為禮、

今犯罪益甚、以銀鑄神像、用機巧作偶像、悉為匠人所造、人皆曰獻祭之人、始可與犢犢見八章五節小註接吻、人皆曰獻祭之人始可與犢接吻或作人論彼曰彼以人獻祭反與犢接吻又作祭司謂眾曰以人獻祭者始可與犢接吻

And now they sin more and more, and make for themselves metal images, idols skillfully made of their silver, all of them the work of craftsmen. It is said of them,“ Those who offer human sacrifice kiss calves!”

Now they continue to sin by making silver idols, images shaped skillfully with human hands.“ Sacrifice to these,” they cry,“ and kiss the calf idols!”

Now they continue to sin and make themselves a cast image, idols skillfully made from their silver, all of them the work of craftsmen. People say about them,“ Let the men who sacrifice kiss the calves.”

And now they sin more and more, And make for themselves cast metal images, Idols skillfully made from their silver, All of them the work of craftsmen. They say of them,“ Let the people who sacrifice kiss the calves!”

Now they sin more and more, And have made for themselves molded images, Idols of their silver, according to their skill; All of it is the work of craftsmen. They say of them,“ Let the men who sacrifice kiss the calves!”

And now they sin more and more, and have made them molten images of their silver, even idols according to their own understanding, all of them the work of the craftsmen: they say of them, Let the men that sacrifice kiss the calves.

Now they continue to sin and make themselves a cast image, idols skillfully made from their silver, all of them the work of craftsmen. People say about them,“ Let the men who sacrifice kiss the calves.”

And now they sin more and more, and have made them molten images of their silver,[ and] idols according to their own understanding, all of it the work of the craftsmen: they say of them, Let the men that sacrifice kiss the calves.

Even now they persist in sin! They make metal images for themselves, idols that they skillfully fashion from their own silver; all of them are nothing but the work of craftsmen! There is a saying about them:“ Those who sacrifice to the calf idol are calf kissers!”

Now they sin more and more, and have made themselves molten images of their silver, even idols according to their own understanding, all of them the work of the craftsmen. They say of them,‘ They offer human sacrifice and kiss the calves.’

有些人從囊中取金子，又用天平稱銀子，雇銀匠製造神像，然後向它俯伏叩拜。

此外，我在以色列留下七千人，他們未曾跪拜巴力，也未曾親吻巴力。」

以金銀作裝飾，用釘子和錘子釘牢，以免晃動。

他用另一半木頭造了一個神，一個偶像，向它俯伏叩拜、禱告說：「你是我的神明，求你拯救我。」他們愚昧無知，因為眼睛被封住以致看不見，心竅被塞住以致不明白。他們無人思想，無人明白，無人醒悟說：「我用一半木頭當柴烤餅、烤肉吃，我豈能用另一半木頭造可憎的神像？我豈能向一塊木頭叩拜？」他們以灰為食，心智迷糊，走入歧途，不能自救，也不會說：「我右手拿的神像不是假的嗎？」

她不知道是我給她五穀、新酒和油，又賜給她大量金銀——她卻用這些供奉巴力。

「雕刻的偶像有什麼益處？騙人的鑄像有什麼用處？製造者竟信靠自己造的啞巴偶像！對木頭說『醒醒吧』，對啞巴石頭說『起來吧』的人啊，你們有禍了！它們能教導你們嗎？看啊，它們外面包金裹銀，裡面卻毫無生命。

上帝怎樣回答呢？祂說：「我為自己留下七千人，他們未曾跪拜巴力。」

他們自以為聰明，其實愚不可及，以必朽的人、飛禽、走獸和爬蟲的形像來取代永恆上帝的榮耀。因此，上帝任憑他們隨從內心的情慾行污穢的事，玷污彼此的身體。他們把上帝的真理當作謊言，祭拜、供奉受造之物，卻不敬拜、事奉造物主。主是永遠值得稱頌的。阿們！

刀劍之災要臨到他們的城邑，毀壞他們的城門，將他們吞噬，因為他們倚仗自己的計謀。

撒母耳把一瓶膏油倒在掃羅的頭上，親吻他，說：「耶和華已經膏立你做祂子民的首領。

而惡人和騙子會變本加厲地迷惑人，也被人迷惑。

要降服在祂兒子面前，免得祂發怒，你們便在罪惡中滅亡，因為祂的怒氣將臨。投靠祂的人有福了！

他們都愚昧無知，毫無用處的木製偶像能教導他們什麼呢？

耶和華說：「我悖逆的兒女有禍了！他們不遵行我的旨意，按自己的計劃行事；未經我同意，擅自與人結盟，不斷犯罪。

這牛犢是以色列的工匠造的，並不是神，必被砸得粉碎。

「你們這些悖逆的人啊，要將這些事銘記在心。

以色列是茂盛的葡萄樹，碩果纍纍。可是，他結果越多，建造的祭壇就越多；土地出產越豐富，他就把神柱裝飾得越美麗。

有耳不能聽，口中毫無氣息。那些製造它們、信靠它們的人也會和它們一樣。

「現在，你們這群罪人的後代竟然重蹈前人的覆轍，加劇耶和華的怒氣。

你們為什麼一再叛逆？你們還要受責打嗎？你們已經頭破血流，身心疲憊。

可是，亞們沒有像他父親瑪拿西一樣在耶和華面前謙卑下來。相反，他犯的罪日益增加。

你這樣硬著心不肯悔改等於是為自己積蓄烈怒，上帝的烈怒在祂施行公義審判的那天必臨到你。

「列國的流亡者啊，你們要聚集到這裡來。那些抬著木頭神像、向不能救人的神明禱告的人真愚昧！

他們的神像不過是人用金銀造的。它們有口不能言，有眼不能看，有耳不能聽，有鼻不能聞，有手不能摸，有腳不能走，有喉嚨也不能發聲。那些製造它們、信靠它們的人也會和它們一樣。

說：「你們不可把這些俘虜帶進來，我們的罪已經夠重了，耶和華的烈怒已經臨到以色列人，不要再得罪耶和華，加重我們的罪惡了。」

他們擁立君王，未經我的同意；選立首領，沒有讓我知道。他們用金銀為自己製造神像，自取滅亡。
