惟起誓、欺骗、杀害、偷盗、奸淫、残暴、流血又流血。

马岂能在岩石上奔跑？人岂能在那里用牛耕种呢？你们却使公平变为苦胆，使公义的果子变为茵陈。

亚述王撒缦以色上来攻击何细亚，何细亚就服事他，向他进贡。何细亚背叛，派使者到埃及王梭那里，不照往年所行的向亚述王进贡。亚述王知道了，就逮捕他，把他囚在监里。

就是悖逆，否认耶和华，转去不跟从我们的神，口说欺压和叛逆的话，心怀谎言，随即说出；公平转而退后，公义站在远处，诚实仆倒在广场上，正直不得进入；诚实少见，离弃邪恶的人反成掠物。那时，耶和华见没有公平，就不喜悦。

第三位天使吹号，就有烧着的大星好像火把从天上坠下来，落在江河的三分之一和众水的泉源上。这星名叫“苦艾”；众水的三分之一变为苦艾，许多人因水变苦而死了。

万军之耶和华的葡萄园就是以色列家；他所喜爱的树就是犹大人。他指望公平，看哪，却有流血；指望公义，看哪，却有冤声。

我看出你正在苦胆之中，被不义捆绑着。”
