一個潔淨的人要拿牛膝草蘸在這水中，把水彈在帳棚上，和一切器皿以及帳棚內的人身上，又要彈在那摸了骨頭，或摸了被殺的或自然死的，或摸了墳墓的人身上。

祭司要把香柏木、牛膝草和朱紅色紗都丟在焚燒牛的火中。

他不用山羊和牛犢的血，而是用自己的血，只一次進入至聖所就獲得了永遠的贖罪。

就是照父神的預知，藉着聖靈得以成聖，以致順服耶穌基督，又蒙他血所灑的人。願恩惠、平安多多地賜給你們！

他差派以色列的年輕人去獻燔祭，又宰牛獻給耶和華為平安祭。摩西將血的一半盛在盆中，另一半灑在壇上。然後，他拿起約書來，念給百姓聽。他們說：「耶和華所吩咐的一切，我們都必遵行，也必聽從。」摩西把血灑在百姓身上，說：「看哪！這是立約的血，是耶和華按照這一切的命令和你們立約的憑據。」摩西、亞倫、拿答、亞比戶，以及以色列長老中的七十人都上去，看見了以色列的神。在他的腳下，彷彿有藍寶石鋪道，明淨如天。他不把手伸在以色列領袖的身上。他們瞻仰神，又吃又喝。

他要取一些公牛的血，用手指彈在櫃蓋的前面，就是東面，又在櫃蓋的前面用手指彈血七次。「他要宰那隻為百姓作贖罪祭的公山羊，把羊的血帶入幔子內，把血彈在櫃蓋的上面和前面，好像彈公牛的血一樣。因以色列人的不潔淨和過犯，就是他們一切的罪，他要為聖所贖罪；因會幕在他們不潔淨之中，他也要為會幕照樣做。他進聖所贖罪的時候，會幕裏都不准有人，直等到他為自己和家人，以及以色列全會眾贖了罪出來。他出來後，要到耶和華面前的祭壇那裏，為壇贖罪。他要取一些公牛的血和公山羊的血，抹在壇周圍的四個翹角上。

祭司就要吩咐人為那求潔淨的人帶兩隻潔淨的活鳥和香柏木、朱紅色紗，以及牛膝草來。祭司要吩咐用瓦器盛清水，把第一隻鳥宰在上面。至於那隻活鳥，祭司要把牠和香柏木、朱紅色紗，以及牛膝草，一同蘸在宰於清水上的鳥血中。他要向那從痲瘋病中得潔淨的人身上彈血七次，宣佈他為潔淨，然後把那活鳥在野地裏放走。

他要為潔淨房屋取兩隻鳥和香柏木、朱紅色紗，以及牛膝草，用瓦器盛清水，把一隻鳥宰在上面。他要把香柏木、牛膝草、朱紅色紗和那一隻活鳥，都蘸在被宰的鳥血和清水中，用來彈屋子七次。他要用鳥血、清水、活鳥、香柏木、牛膝草和朱紅色紗潔淨那房屋。

「人向耶和華獻平安祭為供物，若是從羊羣中獻，無論是公的母的，要用沒有殘疾的。

並新約的中保耶穌，以及所灑的血；這血所說的信息比亞伯的血所說的更美。

「你要吩咐以色列人，對他們說：你們中間若有人要獻供物給耶和華，可以從牛羣羊羣中獻牲畜為供物。「他的供物若以牛為燔祭，要獻一頭沒有殘疾的公牛，獻在會幕的門口，他就可以在耶和華面前蒙悅納。

我必灑清水在你們身上，你們就潔淨了。我要潔淨你們，使你們脫離一切的污穢，棄絕一切的偶像。

他們脫了他的衣服，穿上一件朱紅色的袍子，

「人的供物若以綿羊或山羊為燔祭，要獻一隻沒有殘疾的公羊。

他們給他穿上紫袍，又用荊棘編了冠冕給他戴上，

士兵用荊棘編了冠冕，戴在他頭上，給他穿上紫袍，

因為公牛和山羊的血不能除罪。

要拿一把牛膝草，蘸盆裏的血，把盆裏的血塗在門楣上和兩邊的門框上。直到早晨你們誰也不可出自己家裏的門。

他們戲弄完了，就給他脫了紫袍，又穿上他自己的衣服，帶他出去，要把他釘十字架。

同樣，他也必使許多國家驚奇，君王要向他閉口。未曾傳給他們的，他們必看見；未曾聽見過的事，他們要明白。

耶穌出來，戴着荊棘冠冕，穿着紫袍。彼拉多對他們說：「看哪，這個人！」

求你用牛膝草潔淨我，我就乾淨；求你洗滌我，我就比雪更白。
