犹太人在利未祭司制度的基础上承受了律法，如果通过这个祭司制度可以达到纯全，又何必照麦基洗德的模式而不是亚伦的模式，另外兴起一位祭司呢？既然这祭司制度更改了，律法也必须更改。因为这里所说的这位祭司属于别的支派，那支派里从来没有在祭坛前供职的祭司。显然，我们的主基督属于犹大支派，摩西从来没有说这个支派会出祭司。如果照麦基洗德的模式另外兴起一位祭司，祂做祭司不是照律法要求的血统关系，而是照不能朽坏之生命的大能，事情就更加清楚了。

让以色列人引以为戒，使亚伦子孙以外的人不致到耶和华面前烧香，以免像可拉及其同伙一样灭亡。这是按照耶和华借摩西的吩咐做的。

从人间选出来的大祭司，都是受委任代表人办理与上帝有关的事，为人的罪向上帝献上礼物和赎罪祭。

阻止乌西雅王，说：“乌西雅啊，给耶和华烧香不是你可以做的事，乃是承受圣职做祭司的亚伦子孙的事。离开圣所吧！你已干犯耶和华上帝，必不能从祂那里得荣耀。”手拿香炉要烧香的乌西雅大怒，正当他在耶和华殿里的香坛旁向众祭司发怒的时候，他额头上突然患了麻风病。

你们要看守圣所和祭坛，以免我的愤怒再临到以色列人。

亚伯凭信心向上帝献祭，比该隐所献的更美，蒙了上帝的悦纳，被称为义人。他虽然死了，却仍然借着信心说话。

以色列人对摩西说：“完了！我们死定了！我们全死定了！凡走近耶和华圣幕的都要死，我们岂不是全都要灭亡吗？”
