故此，他必須在各方面都像他的弟兄們那樣，為要在屬神的事上成為憐憫人的、忠心的大祭司，好為子民的罪孽獻上平息祭。

這樣一位聖潔、沒有邪惡、毫無玷汙、與罪人分開、高過諸天的大祭司，對我們實在是合宜的。他不需要像其他大祭司那樣天天獻祭：先為自己的罪孽，然後為子民；因為當他把自己獻上的時候，就一次性地把這事完成了。律法委任的大祭司都有軟弱，但在律法以後，誓言保證的話語所委任的兒子，卻永遠完全。

仰望信仰的創始者和成終者耶穌。他為了那擺在他前面的喜樂，就輕看羞辱，忍受了十字架，如今坐在神寶座的右邊。

而這一位為贖罪孽獻上了一個永遠的祭物，就在神的右邊坐下了，

因你的救恩，他大有榮耀；你又把尊榮和威嚴賜給他。

勇士啊，當把刀劍在腿上束好，帶著你的尊榮和威嚴！為真理、謙卑和公義的緣故，帶著你的威嚴乘勝前進！願你的右手向你顯明可畏的事！

他們必揚聲歡唱，從西邊頌揚耶和華的威嚴；

為要讓世人知道你的大能作為，以及你王權威嚴的榮耀。

我的靈魂哪，你當頌讚耶和華！耶和華我的神哪，你極其偉大，你以尊榮和威嚴為衣！

耶和華對我主宣告：「你坐在我的右邊，等我使你的仇敵作你的腳凳。」

為此，我成了帶鎖鏈的特使。請為我祈求，使我能照著應該說的，放膽傳道。

從前神到底對哪一位天使說過：「你坐在我的右邊，等我把你的敵人放在你的腳下做腳凳」呢？
