Behold, they say,‘ Our bones are dried up, and our hope is lost. Therefore a dispute arose on the part of John’s disciples with some Jews about purification.They came to John and said to him,“ Rabbi, he who was with you beyond the Jordan, to whom you have testified, behold, he baptizes, and everyone is coming to him.”

I didn’t recognize him, but he who sent me to baptize in water said to me,‘ On whomever you will see the Spirit descending and remaining on him is he who baptizes in the Holy Spirit.’

“ Can anyone forbid these people from being baptized with water? They have received the Holy Spirit just like us.”

He took them the same hour of the night and washed their stripes, and was immediately baptized, he and all his household.

Why is it judged incredible with you, if God does raise the dead?

For God will bring every work into judgment, with every hidden thing, whether it is good, or whether it is evil.

Your dead shall live. My dead bodies shall arise. Awake and sing, you who dwell in the dust; for your dew is like the dew of herbs, and the earth will cast out the departed spirits.

being upset because they taught the people and proclaimed in Jesus the resurrection from the dead.

For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus.For this we tell you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will in no way precede those who have fallen asleep.For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with God’s trumpet. They were judged, each one according to his works.Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire.If anyone was not found written in the book of life, he was cast into the lake of fire.

But the heavens that exist now and the earth, by the same word have been stored up for fire, being reserved against the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men.

Now I mean this, that each one of you says,“ I follow Paul,”“ I follow Apollos,”“ I follow Cephas,” and,“ I follow Christ.”Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized into the name of Paul?I thank God that I baptized none of you, except Crispus and Gaius,so that no one should say that I had baptized you into my own name.( I also baptized the household of Stephanas; besides them, I don’t know whether I baptized any other.)For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the Good News— not in wisdom of words, so that the cross of Christ wouldn’t be made void.

and you will be blessed, because they don’t have the resources to repay you. For you will be repaid in the resurrection of the righteous.”

“ For you set aside the commandment of God, and hold tightly to the tradition of men— the washing of pitchers and cups, and you do many other such things.”

When the Pharisee saw it, he marveled that he had not first washed himself before dinner.
