我们所拥有的这盼望，像灵魂的锚，又可靠又坚固，并且进到幔子最里层的那至圣所。

我們有這指望，如同靈魂的錨，又堅固又牢靠，且通入幔內。

我們有這指望，如同靈魂的錨，又堅固又牢靠，進入幔子後面的至聖所。

我們所有的這指望就像靈魂之錨，又穩當又堅固，通入幔後的內聖所；

我們所擁有的這盼望，像靈魂的錨，又可靠又堅固，並且進到幔子最裡層的那至聖所。

我有此望、如魂有錨、入於幔內、鞏固不移、

我所望福、藏于幔內、猶心之有錨、鞏固不移、

我儕有此望、猶心之錨、堅定不移、入於幔內、

此恩諾實為吾人停泊之所、前途遠大、希望無窮、穩而且固。此望也、乃吾人靈魂之鐵錨、而糺於閟帷深處者也。

Our hope is certain. It is something for the soul to hold on to. It is strong and secure. It goes all the way into the Most Holy Room behind the curtain.

We have this as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul, a hope that enters into the inner place behind the curtain,

This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. It leads us through the curtain into God’s inner sanctuary.

We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain.

This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, a hope both sure and reliable and one which enters within the veil,

This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil,

which we have as an anchor of the soul, a hope both sure and stedfast and entering into that which is within the veil;

We have this hope as an anchor for our lives, safe and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain.

Which[ hope] we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;

We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, sure and steadfast, which reaches inside behind the curtain,

This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, a hope both sure and steadfast and entering into that which is within the veil;

Behind the second curtain was a room called the Most Holy Place,

“ He shall then slaughter the goat for the sin offering for the people and take its blood behind the curtain and do with it as he did with the bull’s blood: He shall sprinkle it on the atonement cover and in front of it.

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified.What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all— how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies.Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died— more than that, who was raised to life— is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?As it is written:“ For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers,neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

The Lord said to Moses:“ Tell your brother Aaron that he is not to come whenever he chooses into the Most Holy Place behind the curtain in front of the atonement cover on the ark, or else he will die. For I will appear in the cloud over the atonement cover.

But only the high priest entered the inner room, and that only once a year, and never without blood, which he offered for himself and for the sins the people had committed in ignorance.

At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook, the rocks split

Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.

Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.

Nevertheless, God’s solid foundation stands firm, sealed with this inscription:“ The Lord knows those who are his,” and,“ Everyone who confesses the name of the Lord must turn away from wickedness.”

Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.

Therefore strong peoples will honor you; cities of ruthless nations will revere you.You have been a refuge for the poor, a refuge for the needy in their distress, a shelter from the storm and a shade from the heat. For the breath of the ruthless is like a storm driving against a wall

Therefore, the promise comes by faith, so that it may be by grace and may be guaranteed to all Abraham’s offspring— not only to those who are of the law but also to those who have the faith of Abraham. He is the father of us all.

And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly.Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die.But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him!For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life!

Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The Lord, the Lord himself, is my strength and my defense; he has become my salvation.”

Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from him.Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken.

Cutting loose the anchors, they left them in the sea and at the same time untied the ropes that held the rudders. Then they hoisted the foresail to the wind and made for the beach.

So this is what the Sovereign Lord says:“ See, I lay a stone in Zion, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone for a sure foundation; the one who relies on it will never be stricken with panic.

Blessed are those whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the Lord their God.He is the Maker of heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them— he remains faithful forever.

Fearing that we would be dashed against the rocks, they dropped four anchors from the stern and prayed for daylight.

Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.

And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus,

by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his body,and since we have a great priest over the house of God,

“ But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him.They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.”

Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.

Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
