And who was He provoked with for 40 years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose bodies fell in the wilderness?

神四十年之久，又厌烦谁呢？岂不是那些犯罪、尸首倒在旷野的人吗？

神又向谁发怒了四十年之久呢？难道不是那些犯了罪、尸首倒在旷野的人吗？

四十年之久惹上帝發怒的是誰呢？不就是那些犯罪作惡並倒斃在曠野的人嗎？

四十年之久，神向誰發怒呢？不就是向那些犯了罪陳屍曠野的人嗎？

上帝四十年厭惡誰呢？豈不是那些犯了罪、屍首倒在曠野的人麼？

神又向誰發怒了四十年之久呢？難道不是那些犯了罪、屍首倒在曠野的人嗎？

又四十年彼所不悅者誰耶、非干罰而屍仆於野者乎、

上帝於四十載中憾誰、非犯罪而暴骨於野者乎、

天主於四十年間怒誰、非犯罪而屍仆於曠野者乎、

天主所謂：「厭惡斯代、垂四十春」者、又誰耶？非多行不義、卒至暴屍曠野者乎？

And with whom was he angry for forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose bodies perished in the wilderness?

Who was God angry with for 40 years? Wasn’t it with those who sinned? They died in the desert.

And with whom was he provoked for forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose bodies fell in the wilderness?

And who made God angry for forty years? Wasn’t it the people who sinned, whose corpses lay in the wilderness?

With whom was God angry for forty years? Wasn’t it with those who sinned, whose bodies fell in the wilderness?

And with whom was He angry for forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose dead bodies fell in the wilderness?

Now with whom was He angry forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose corpses fell in the wilderness?

And with whom was he displeased forty years? was it not with them that sinned, whose bodies fell in the wilderness?

But with whom was he grieved forty years?[ was it] not with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness?

And against whom was God provoked for forty years? Was it not those who sinned, whose dead bodies fell in the wilderness?

With whom was he displeased forty years? Wasn’t it with those who sinned, whose bodies fell in the wilderness?

Your corpses will fall in this wilderness— all of you who were registered in the census, the entire number of you 20 years old or more— because you have complained about Me.

Now I want to remind you, though you know all these things: The Lord first saved a people out of Egypt and later destroyed those who did not believe;

Speak as follows: This is what the Lord says: Human corpses will fall like manure on the surface of the field, like newly cut grain after the reaper with no one to gather it.

But as for you, your corpses will fall in this wilderness.Your children will be shepherds in the wilderness for 40 years and bear the penalty for your acts of unfaithfulness until all your corpses lie scattered in the wilderness.

none of the men who have seen My glory and the signs I performed in Egypt and in the wilderness, and have tested Me these 10 times and did not obey Me,

But among them there was not one of those who had been registered by Moses and Aaron the priest when they registered the Israelites in the Wilderness of Sinai.For the Lord had said to them that they would all die in the wilderness. None of them was left except Caleb son of Jephunneh and Joshua son of Nun.

For they drank from a spiritual rock that followed them, and that rock was Christ.But God was not pleased with most of them, for they were struck down in the wilderness.Now these things became examples for us, so that we will not desire evil things as they did.Don’t become idolaters as some of them were; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and got up to play.Let us not commit sexual immorality as some of them did, and in a single day 23,000 people fell dead.Let us not test Christ as some of them did and were destroyed by snakes.Nor should we complain as some of them did, and were killed by the destroyer.Now these things happened to them as examples, and they were written as a warning to us, on whom the ends of the ages have come.So, whoever thinks he stands must be careful not to fall.No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to humanity. God is faithful, and He will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation He will also provide a way of escape so that you are able to bear it.
