为此，他作了新约的中保，既然受死赎了人在前约之时所犯的罪过，便叫蒙召之人得着所应许永远的产业。

摩西将血洒在百姓身上，说：“你看！这是立约的血，是耶和华按这一切话与你们立约的凭据。”

耶和华说：“你做了什么事呢？你兄弟的血有声音从地里向我哀告。

他因着信，就守逾越节，行洒血的礼，免得那灭长子的临近以色列人。

如今耶稣所得的职任是更美的，正如他作更美之约的中保；这约原是凭更美之应许立的。

亚伯因着信，献祭与神，比该隐所献的更美，因此便得了称义的见证，就是神指他礼物作的见证。他虽然死了，却因这信，仍旧说话。

因为只有一位神，在神和人中间，只有一位中保，乃是降世为人的基督耶稣；

并我们心中天良的亏欠已经洒去，身体用清水洗净了，就当存着诚心和充足的信心来到神面前；

因为这是我立约的血，为多人流出来，使罪得赦。

叫世上所流义人的血都归到你们身上，从义人亚伯的血起，直到你们在殿和坛中间所杀的巴拉加的儿子撒迦利亚的血为止。

就是照父神的先见被拣选，藉着圣灵得成圣洁，以致顺服耶稣基督，又蒙他血所洒的人。愿恩惠、平安多多地加给你们。

饭后也照样拿起杯来，说：“这杯是用我血所立的新约，是为你们流出来的。

耶和华说：“日子将到，我要与以色列家和犹大家另立新约，不像我拉着他们祖宗的手，领他们出埃及地的时候，与他们所立的约。我虽作他们的丈夫，他们却背了我的约。这是耶和华说的。”耶和华说：“那些日子以后，我与以色列家所立的约乃是这样：我要将我的律法放在他们里面，写在他们心上。我要作他们的神，他们要作我的子民。

他又照样把血洒在帐幕和各样器皿上。

既是起誓立的，耶稣就作了更美之约的中保。

但愿赐平安的神，就是那凭永约之血、使群羊的大牧人、我主耶稣从死里复活的神，

耶稣说：“这是我立约的血，为多人流出来的。

就是从亚伯的血起，直到被杀在坛和殿中间撒迦利亚的血为止。我实在告诉你们，这都要问在这世代的人身上。

所以主指责他的百姓说：“日子将到，我要与以色列家和犹大家另立新约，

你们当就近我来；侧耳而听，就必得活。我必与你们立永约，就是应许大卫那可靠的恩典。
