摩西有信、則離埃及不惴王怒、其恆心如見無形之上帝、

彼有信、離伊及不畏王怒、彼有恆心、如見不可見者、

厥後又憑信德、不恤君王之震怒、而逃出埃及。蓋其心目中常有形而上之天主、故能百折不撓、磨而不磷也。

By faith he left Egypt, not fearing the king’s anger; he persevered because he saw him who is invisible.

Because of his faith, Moses left Egypt. It wasn’t because he was afraid of the king’s anger. He didn’t let anything stop him. That’s because he saw the God who can’t be seen.

By faith he left Egypt, not being afraid of the anger of the king, for he endured as seeing him who is invisible.

It was by faith that Moses left the land of Egypt, not fearing the king’s anger. He kept right on going because he kept his eyes on the one who is invisible.

By faith he left Egypt behind, not being afraid of the king’s anger, for Moses persevered as one who sees him who is invisible.

The man said,“ Who made you ruler and judge over us? Are you thinking of killing me as you killed the Egyptian?” Then Moses was afraid and thought,“ What I did must have become known.”When Pharaoh heard of this, he tried to kill Moses, but Moses fled from Pharaoh and went to live in Midian, where he sat down by a well. (niv)

Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen. (niv)

As Pharaoh approached, the Israelites looked up, and there were the Egyptians, marching after them. They were terrified and cried out to the Lord.They said to Moses,“ Was it because there were no graves in Egypt that you brought us to the desert to die? What have you done to us by bringing us out of Egypt?Didn’t we say to you in Egypt,‘ Leave us alone; let us serve the Egyptians’? It would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the desert!Moses answered the people,“ Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again. (niv)

Pharaoh said to Moses,“ Get out of my sight! Make sure you do not appear before me again! The day you see my face you will die.”“ Just as you say,” Moses replied.“ I will never appear before you again.” (niv)

All the Israelites did just what the Lord had commanded Moses and Aaron. (niv)

I keep my eyes always on the Lord. With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken. (niv)

It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. (niv)

who alone is immortal and who lives in unapproachable light, whom no one has seen or can see. To him be honor and might forever. Amen. (niv)

Now the Lord had said to Moses in Midian,“ Go back to Egypt, for all those who wanted to kill you are dead.” (niv)

The Israelites journeyed from Rameses to Sukkoth. There were about six hundred thousand men on foot, besides women and children.Many other people went up with them, and also large droves of livestock, both flocks and herds.With the dough the Israelites had brought from Egypt, they baked loaves of unleavened bread. The dough was without yeast because they had been driven out of Egypt and did not have time to prepare food for themselves.Now the length of time the Israelite people lived in Egypt was 430 years.At the end of the 430 years, to the very day, all the Lord’s divisions left Egypt.Because the Lord kept vigil that night to bring them out of Egypt, on this night all the Israelites are to keep vigil to honor the Lord for the generations to come. (niv)

This is how you are to eat it: with your cloak tucked into your belt, your sandals on your feet and your staff in your hand. Eat it in haste; it is the Lord’s Passover. (niv)

Remember those earlier days after you had received the light, when you endured in a great conflict full of suffering. (niv)

fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart. (niv)

but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. (niv)

When Pharaoh let the people go, God did not lead them on the road through the Philistine country, though that was shorter. For God said,“ If they face war, they might change their minds and return to Egypt.”So God led the people around by the desert road toward the Red Sea. The Israelites went up out of Egypt ready for battle.Moses took the bones of Joseph with him because Joseph had made the Israelites swear an oath. He had said,“ God will surely come to your aid, and then you must carry my bones up with you from this place.”After leaving Sukkoth they camped at Etham on the edge of the desert.By day the Lord went ahead of them in a pillar of cloud to guide them on their way and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so that they could travel by day or night. (niv)

David said about him:“‘ I saw the Lord always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken. (niv)

Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, (niv)

All these officials of yours will come to me, bowing down before me and saying,‘ Go, you and all the people who follow you!’ After that I will leave.” Then Moses, hot with anger, left Pharaoh. (niv)

Everyone will hate you because of me, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. (niv)

As you know, we count as blessed those who have persevered. You have heard of Job’s perseverance and have seen what the Lord finally brought about. The Lord is full of compassion and mercy. (niv)

And so after waiting patiently, Abraham received what was promised. (niv)

So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. (niv)

But since they have no root, they last only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, they quickly fall away. (niv)

You will be hated by everyone because of me, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. (niv)
