因着信，连撒拉自己，虽然过了生育的岁数，还能怀孕，因她以为那应许她的是可信的。

撒拉有信、雖逾生育之年、尚能懷妊、以許之者誠信也、

撒拉有信、雖老、上帝賜之懷妊誕育、以為所許者言出惟行、

撒拉有信、雖過生育之期、尚能懷妊生子、因彼以應許者為可信、

厥婦灑蕾、亦憑信德、以一不育之身、重以耄耋之年、竟能懷妊誕育；蓋彼固信天主之無虛諾也。

And by faith even Sarah, who was past childbearing age, was enabled to bear children because she considered him faithful who had made the promise.

And Sarah had faith. So God made it possible for her to become a mother. She became a mother even though she was too old to have children. But Sarah believed that the God who made the promise was faithful.

By faith Sarah herself received power to conceive, even when she was past the age, since she considered him faithful who had promised.

It was by faith that even Sarah was able to have a child, though she was barren and was too old. She believed that God would keep his promise.

By faith even Sarah herself, when she was unable to have children, received power to conceive offspring, even though she was past the age, since she considered that the one who had promised was faithful.

By faith even Sarah herself received ability to conceive, even beyond the proper time of life, since she considered Him faithful who had promised.

By faith Sarah herself also received strength to conceive seed, and she bore a child when she was past the age, because she judged Him faithful who had promised.

Abraham and Sarah were already very old, and Sarah was past the age of childbearing.So Sarah laughed to herself as she thought,“ After I am worn out and my lord is old, will I now have this pleasure?”Then the Lord said to Abraham,“ Why did Sarah laugh and say,‘ Will I really have a child, now that I am old?’Is anything too hard for the Lord? I will return to you at the appointed time next year, and Sarah will have a son.” (niv)

Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God,being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised. (niv)

Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. (niv)

Now the Lord was gracious to Sarah as he had said, and the Lord did for Sarah what he had promised.Sarah became pregnant and bore a son to Abraham in his old age, at the very time God had promised him. (niv)

Abraham fell facedown; he laughed and said to himself,“ Will a son be born to a man a hundred years old? Will Sarah bear a child at the age of ninety?”And Abraham said to God,“ If only Ishmael might live under your blessing!”Then God said,“ Yes, but your wife Sarah will bear you a son, and you will call him Isaac. I will establish my covenant with him as an everlasting covenant for his descendants after him. (niv)

Even Elizabeth your relative is going to have a child in her old age, and she who was said to be unable to conceive is in her sixth month. (niv)

For this is the way the holy women of the past who put their hope in God used to adorn themselves. They submitted themselves to their own husbands,like Sarah, who obeyed Abraham and called him her lord. You are her daughters if you do what is right and do not give way to fear. (niv)
