天地終銷毀、惟爾長卓卓；

Look up at the sky! Look at the earth below! For the sky will dissipate like smoke, and the earth will wear out like clothes; its residents will die like gnats. But the deliverance I give is permanent; the vindication I provide will not disappear.

All the stars in the sky will fade away, the sky will roll up like a scroll; all its stars will wither, like a leaf withers and falls from a vine or a fig withers and falls from a tree.

Look, the sovereign LORD helps me. Who dares to condemn me? Look, all of them will wear out like clothes; a moth will eat away at them.

Who acts and carries out decrees? Who summons the successive generations from the beginning? I, the LORD, am present at the very beginning, and at the very end– I am the one.

The LORD sits enthroned over the engulfing waters, the LORD sits enthroned as the eternal king.

For look, I am ready to create new heavens and a new earth! The former ones will not be remembered; no one will think about them anymore.

Now this phrase“ once more” indicates the removal of what is shaken, that is, of created things, so that what is unshaken may remain.

“ To the angel of the church in Smyrna write the following:“ This is the solemn pronouncement of the one who is the first and the last, the one who was dead, but came to life:

Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.

Even before the mountains came into existence, or you brought the world into being, you were the eternal God.

But by the same word the present heavens and earth have been reserved for fire, by being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly.Now, dear friends, do not let this one thing escape your notice, that a single day is like a thousand years with the Lord and a thousand years are like a single day.The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some regard slowness, but is being patient toward you, because he does not wish for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.But the day of the Lord will come like a thief; when it comes, the heavens will disappear with a horrific noise, and the celestial bodies will melt away in a blaze, and the earth and every deed done on it will be laid bare.

Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and earth had ceased to exist, and the sea existed no more.

For a moth will eat away at them like clothes; a clothes moth will devour them like wool. But the vindication I provide will be permanent; the deliverance I give will last.”

Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.

saying:“ Write in a book what you see and send it to the seven churches– to Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia, and Laodicea.”

This is what the LORD, Israel’s king, says, their protector, the LORD who commands armies:“ I am the first and I am the last, there is no God but me.

The LORD rules forever! The nations are driven out of his land.
