“ It will happen afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh; and your sons and your daughters will prophesy. Your old men will dream dreams. Your young men will see visions.

He said,“ Now hear my words. If there is a prophet among you, I, Yahweh, will make myself known to him in a vision. I will speak with him in a dream.My servant Moses is not so. He is faithful in all my house.With him, I will speak mouth to mouth, even plainly, and not in riddles; and he shall see Yahweh’s form. Why then were you not afraid to speak against my servant, against Moses?”

Concerning this salvation, the prophets sought and searched diligently. They prophesied of the grace that would come to you,searching for who or what kind of time the Spirit of Christ, which was in them, pointed to, when he predicted the sufferings of Christ, and the glories that would follow them.To them it was revealed, that they served not to themselves, but to you, in these things, which now have been announced to you through those who preached the Good News to you by the Holy Spirit sent out from heaven; which things angels desire to look into.

Beginning from Moses and from all the prophets, he explained to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself.

Therefore, being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him that of the fruit of his body, according to the flesh, he would raise up the Christ to sit on his throne,

as he spoke to our fathers, to Abraham and his offspring forever.”

I will put hostility between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring. He will bruise your head, and you will bruise his heel.”

We know that God has spoken to Moses. But as for this man, we don’t know where he comes from.”

All the families of the earth will be blessed through you.”

We bring you good news of the promise made to the fathers,

When they had appointed him a day, many people came to him at his lodging. He explained to them, testifying about God’s Kingdom, and persuading them concerning Jesus, both from the law of Moses and from the prophets, from morning until evening.

Moses has given you circumcision( not that it is of Moses, but of the fathers), and on the Sabbath you circumcise a boy.

God spoke to Israel in the visions of the night, and said,“ Jacob, Jacob!” He said,“ Here I am.”He said,“ I am God, the God of your father. Don’t be afraid to go down into Egypt, for there I will make of you a great nation.I will go down with you into Egypt. I will also surely bring you up again. Joseph’s hand will close your eyes.”

God blessed Noah and his sons, and said to them,“ Be fruitful, multiply, and replenish the earth.The fear of you and the dread of you will be on every animal of the earth, and on every bird of the sky. Everything that moves along the ground, and all the fish of the sea, are delivered into your hand.Every moving thing that lives will be food for you. As I gave you the green herb, I have given everything to you.But flesh with its life, that is, its blood, you shall not eat.I will surely require accounting for your life’s blood. At the hand of every animal I will require it. At the hand of man, even at the hand of every man’s brother, I will require the life of man.Whoever sheds man’s blood, his blood will be shed by man, for God made man in his own image.Be fruitful and multiply. Increase abundantly in the earth, and multiply in it.”God spoke to Noah and to his sons with him, saying,“ As for me, behold, I establish my covenant with you, and with your offspring after you,and with every living creature that is with you: the birds, the livestock, and every animal of the earth with you, of all that go out of the ship, even every animal of the earth.I will establish my covenant with you: All flesh will not be cut off any more by the waters of the flood. There will never again be a flood to destroy the earth.”God said,“ This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations:I set my rainbow in the cloud, and it will be a sign of a covenant between me and the earth.When I bring a cloud over the earth, that the rainbow will be seen in the cloud,I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh, and the waters will no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.The rainbow will be in the cloud. I will look at it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is on the earth.”God said to Noah,“ This is the token of the covenant which I have established between me and all flesh that is on the earth.”

God spoke to Noah, saying,“ Go out of the ship, you, your wife, your sons, and your sons’ wives with you.Bring out with you every living thing that is with you of all flesh, including birds, livestock, and every creeping thing that creeps on the earth, that they may breed abundantly in the earth, and be fruitful, and multiply on the earth.”Noah went out, with his sons, his wife, and his sons’ wives with him.Every animal, every creeping thing, and every bird, whatever moves on the earth, after their families, went out of the ship.

Yahweh appeared to him, and said,“ Don’t go down into Egypt. Live in the land I will tell you about.Live in this land, and I will be with you, and will bless you. For I will give to you, and to your offspring, all these lands, and I will establish the oath which I swore to Abraham your father.I will multiply your offspring as the stars of the sky, and will give all these lands to your offspring. In your offspring all the nations of the earth will be blessed,because Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my requirements, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.”

God said to Noah,“ I will bring an end to all flesh, for the earth is filled with violence through them. Behold, I will destroy them and the earth.Make a ship of gopher wood. You shall make rooms in the ship, and shall seal it inside and outside with pitch.This is how you shall make it. The length of the ship shall be three hundred cubits, its width fifty cubits, and its height thirty cubits.You shall make a roof in the ship, and you shall finish it to a cubit upward. You shall set the door of the ship in its side. You shall make it with lower, second, and third levels.I, even I, will bring the flood of waters on this earth, to destroy all flesh having the breath of life from under the sky. Everything that is in the earth will die.But I will establish my covenant with you. You shall come into the ship, you, your sons, your wife, and your sons’ wives with you.Of every living thing of all flesh, you shall bring two of every sort into the ship, to keep them alive with you. They shall be male and female.Of the birds after their kind, of the livestock after their kind, of every creeping thing of the ground after its kind, two of every sort will come to you, to keep them alive.Take with you some of all food that is eaten, and gather it to yourself; and it will be for food for you, and for them.”Thus Noah did. He did all that God commanded him.

He dreamed and saw a stairway set upon the earth, and its top reached to heaven. Behold, the angels of God were ascending and descending on it.Behold, Yahweh stood above it, and said,“ I am Yahweh, the God of Abraham your father, and the God of Isaac. I will give the land you lie on to you and to your offspring.Your offspring will be as the dust of the earth, and you will spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south. In you and in your offspring, all the families of the earth will be blessed.Behold, I am with you, and will keep you, wherever you go, and will bring you again into this land. For I will not leave you, until I have done that which I have spoken of to you.”

Now Moses was keeping the flock of Jethro, his father- in- law, the priest of Midian, and he led the flock to the back of the wilderness, and came to God’s mountain, to Horeb.Yahweh’s angel appeared to him in a flame of fire out of the middle of a bush. He looked, and behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed.Moses said,“ I will go now, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burned.”When Yahweh saw that he came over to see, God called to him out of the middle of the bush, and said,“ Moses! Moses!” He said,“ Here I am.”He said,“ Don’t come close. Take off your sandals, for the place you are standing on is holy ground.”Moreover he said,“ I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.” Moses hid his face because he was afraid to look at God.Yahweh said,“ I have surely seen the affliction of my people who are in Egypt, and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters, for I know their sorrows.I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land to a good and large land, to a land flowing with milk and honey; to the place of the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Amorite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite.Now, behold, the cry of the children of Israel has come to me. Moreover I have seen the oppression with which the Egyptians oppress them.Come now therefore, and I will send you to Pharaoh, that you may bring my people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt.”Moses said to God,“ Who am I, that I should go to Pharaoh, and that I should bring the children of Israel out of Egypt?”He said,“ Certainly I will be with you. This will be the token to you, that I have sent you: when you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall serve God on this mountain.”Moses said to God,“ Behold, when I come to the children of Israel, and tell them,‘ The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they ask me,‘ What is his name?’ what should I tell them?”God said to Moses,“ I AM WHO I AM,” and he said,“ You shall tell the children of Israel this:‘ I AM has sent me to you.’”God said moreover to Moses,“ You shall tell the children of Israel this,‘ Yahweh, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you.’ This is my name forever, and this is my memorial to all generations.Go and gather the elders of Israel together, and tell them,‘ Yahweh, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, has appeared to me, saying,“ I have surely visited you, and seen that which is done to you in Egypt.I have said, I will bring you up out of the affliction of Egypt to the land of the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Amorite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite, to a land flowing with milk and honey.”’They will listen to your voice. You shall come, you and the elders of Israel, to the king of Egypt, and you shall tell him,‘ Yahweh, the God of the Hebrews, has met with us. Now please let us go three days’ journey into the wilderness, that we may sacrifice to Yahweh, our God.’I know that the king of Egypt won’t give you permission to go, no, not by a mighty hand.I will reach out my hand and strike Egypt with all my wonders which I will do among them, and after that he will let you go.I will give this people favor in the sight of the Egyptians, and it will happen that when you go, you shall not go empty- handed.But every woman shall ask of her neighbor, and of her who visits her house, jewels of silver, jewels of gold, and clothing. You shall put them on your sons, and on your daughters. You shall plunder the Egyptians.”

Jacob was left alone, and wrestled with a man there until the breaking of the day.When he saw that he didn’t prevail against him, the man touched the hollow of his thigh, and the hollow of Jacob’s thigh was strained as he wrestled.The man said,“ Let me go, for the day breaks.” Jacob said,“ I won’t let you go unless you bless me.”He said to him,“ What is your name?” He said,“ Jacob”.He said,“ Your name will no longer be called Jacob, but Israel; for you have fought with God and with men, and have prevailed.”Jacob asked him,“ Please tell me your name.” He said,“ Why is it that you ask what my name is?” He blessed him there.Jacob called the name of the place Peniel; for he said,“ I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved.”

Yahweh said,“ My Spirit will not strive with man forever, because he also is flesh; so his days will be one hundred twenty years.”
