So the LORD energized and encouraged Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, the high priest Joshua son of Jehozadak, and the whole remnant of the people. They came and worked on the temple of their God, the LORD who rules over all.

大流士王执政第二年六月一日，耶和华借着先知哈该对撒拉铁的儿子犹大省长所罗巴伯和约撒答的儿子大祭司约书亚说：

于是，撒拉铁的儿子所罗巴伯和约萨达的儿子耶书亚开始在耶路撒冷重建上帝的殿，上帝的先知在他们身边帮助他们。

波斯王塞鲁士元年，耶和华为了应验祂借耶利米所说的话，就感动波斯王塞鲁士，使他下诏通告全国：

“你告诉犹大省长所罗巴伯，‘我必震动天地，

撒拉铁的儿子犹大省长所罗巴伯、约撒答的儿子大祭司约书亚和所有的余民听到他们的上帝耶和华借先知哈该所讲的话，都顺服耶和华的话。百姓都敬畏耶和华。

王该知道，我们去了犹大省，到了伟大上帝的殿。人们正在用大石建殿，木料已经安在墙里，工程进展迅速、顺利。

所以，我亲爱的弟兄姊妹，你们务要坚定不移，总要竭力做主的工作，因为你们知道自己在主里面的辛勤付出不会白费。

以斯拉说：“我们祖先的上帝耶和华当受赞美！因为祂使王有这样的心意尊崇耶路撒冷耶和华的殿。祂又在王及其谋士和所有权贵面前施恩于我。因为我的上帝耶和华帮助我，我便有勇气召集以色列的首领与我一同上去。”

于是，犹大和便雅悯的族长、祭司和利未人——所有被上帝感动的人都准备上耶路撒冷重建耶和华的殿。

因此，以色列的上帝驱使亚述王普勒，即提革拉·毗尼色，把吕便人、迦得人、玛拿西半个支派的人掳到哈腊、哈博、哈拉和歌散河边，他们至今还在那里。

你跟仇敌作战的时候，你的百姓必甘心跟从，他们衣着圣洁，如清晨的甘露。

在各样善事上成全你们，好使你们遵行祂的旨意，并借着主耶稣在你们心中动工，使你们做祂喜悦的事！愿荣耀归给上帝，直到永永远远。阿们！

恩赐各有不同，但圣灵是同一位。事奉各有不同，但主是同一位。工作各有不同，但上帝是同一位，祂在众人当中成就万事。圣灵给各人不同的恩赐为要使众人得益处。这人从圣灵领受智言，那人从圣灵领受知识；圣灵赐这人信心，赐那人医病的恩赐；圣灵使这人能行神迹，使那人能做先知讲道；使这人能辨别诸灵，使那人能说方言，又使另一人能翻译方言。这一切都是同一位圣灵所赐的，是祂按自己的旨意分别赐给各人的。

感谢上帝！祂感动了提多的心，使他像我一样热诚地关怀你们。

所以，我亲爱的弟兄姊妹，既然我在你们那里的时候，你们一向都很顺服；如今我不在你们那里，你们更要顺服，要战战兢兢地活出得救后应有的生命。因为你们立志和行事都是上帝在你们心中工作，为要成就祂美好的旨意。
