何為使我目睹不義、人行惡作慝、人行惡作慝或作人行奸惡主何為徒觀、攘奪與兇暴恆於我前、怨隙滋生、爭端紛起、

Why do you make me look at injustice? Why do you tolerate wrongdoing? Destruction and violence are before me; there is strife, and conflict abounds.

Why do you make me watch while people treat others so unfairly? Why do you put up with the wrong things they are doing? I have to look at death. People are harming others. They are arguing and fighting all the time.

Why do you make me see iniquity, and why do you idly look at wrong? Destruction and violence are before me; strife and contention arise.

Must I forever see these evil deeds? Why must I watch all this misery? Wherever I look, I see destruction and violence. I am surrounded by people who love to argue and fight.

Why do you force me to look at injustice? Why do you tolerate wrongdoing? Oppression and violence are right in front of me. Strife is ongoing, and conflict escalates.

Why do You make me see disaster, And make me look at destitution? Yes, devastation and violence are before me; Strife exists and contention arises.

Why do You show me iniquity, And cause me to see trouble? For plundering and violence are before me; There is strife, and contention arises.

Why dost thou show me iniquity, and look upon perverseness? for destruction and violence are before me; and there is strife, and contention riseth up.

Why do You force me to look at injustice? Why do You tolerate wrongdoing? Oppression and violence are right in front of me. Strife is ongoing, and conflict escalates.

Why dost thou shew me iniquity, and cause[ me] to behold grievance? for spoiling and violence[ are] before me: and there are[ that] raise up strife and contention.

Why do you force me to witness injustice? Why do you put up with wrongdoing? Destruction and violence confront me; conflict is present and one must endure strife.

Why do you show me iniquity, and look at perversity? For destruction and violence are before me. There is strife, and contention rises up.

主啊，我在城中看見暴力和爭鬥，求你使他們言語混亂。他們晝夜在城牆上出沒，城內充滿了邪惡和壓迫，毀壞的勢力到處肆虐，恐嚇與欺詐遍佈大街小巷。

我真悲慘！就像夏天的果子已被收盡，葡萄已被摘淨，找不到一串可吃的，尋不見我心中渴望的初熟無花果。虔敬人已從大地上滅絕，世間再沒有正直人。人人伺機殺人流血，用網羅獵取自己的弟兄。他們善於作惡。領袖和審判官索要賄賂，顯貴袒露心中的惡慾，朋比為奸。他們當中最好的不過是蒺藜，最正直的也不過是荊棘籬笆。你們的守望者所說的日子，就是你們受懲罰的日子已經來到。你們必驚慌失措。

我每次說預言，都大聲疾呼：「暴力和毀滅要來了！」我因傳講耶和華的話而終日遭受侮辱和譏笑。

真希望我在曠野有棲身之處，以便遠離我的同胞，因為他們是一群不忠不貞之徒。耶和華說：「他們鼓舌如簧，射出謊言，遍地充滿詭詐，毫無誠實；他們行惡不斷，不認我是上帝。你們要提防鄰居，不要信賴弟兄，因為弟兄詭計多端，鄰居滿口是非。他們彼此欺騙，不說真話；他們說謊成性，不知疲倦地肆意犯罪；他們充滿詭詐，不認我是上帝。這是耶和華說的。」

若你在某地看見窮人受欺壓，公平正義被扭曲，不要震驚，因為官上有官，在眾官之上還有更高的官。

因為義人羅得住在他們當中，天天耳聞目睹他們一切無法無天的醜行，他正直的心很痛苦。

耶和華啊，求你救我們！因為世上的敬虔人不見了，忠信的人在人間消失了。人人謊話連篇，花言巧語，口是心非。

我寄居在米設和基達的人當中有禍了！我住在憎惡和平的人當中太久了。

「聽著，我差你們出去，就好像使羊走進狼群一般。所以，你們要像蛇一樣機靈，像鴿子一樣馴良。

我看見狂傲的惡人亨通就心懷不平。他們一生平順，健康強壯。他們不像別人受苦，不像世人遭難。他們把驕傲作項鏈戴在頸上，把暴力作外袍裹在身上。他們胖得眼睛凸出，心中充滿罪惡。他們譏諷嘲笑，言語惡毒，狂妄地以暴力相威脅。他們褻瀆上天，詆譭大地。

於是，我又觀察日光之下的一切欺壓之事。我看見受欺壓的淚流滿面，無人安慰。因為欺壓者有權有勢，所以無人安慰他們。

人子啊，不要怕他們和他們的話，雖然你周圍佈滿荊棘和毒蠍，也不要害怕。他們是一群叛逆的人，你不要怕他們的話，也不要因為他們的臉色而驚慌。
