他以自己的势力为神，像风猛然扫过，显为有罪。”

那时，他如风猛然扫过，他背叛，显为有罪；他以自己的力量为神明。

他们如狂风横扫而过，这些有罪的人把自己的力量奉为神明。”

然后扫荡如风吹过。他们是有罪的，因他们以自己的势力为神。

然後風一掃，他們就過去、而有罪！嘿，這就是他們的勢力，他們所看為神的！

彼以己力為神、其衝突也、若風飄過、致干罪戾、

精神倍長、向前遄征、復獲罪於耶和華、自謂其上帝所助。

於是其心尤為狂傲、前驅造孽、以勢力為神、

Then they sweep past like the wind and go on— guilty people, whose own strength is their god.”

They sweep past like the wind. Then they go on their way. They are guilty. They worship their own strength.”

Then they sweep by like the wind and go on, guilty men, whose own might is their god!”

They sweep past like the wind and are gone. But they are deeply guilty, for their own strength is their god.”

Then his mind changes, and he transgresses; He commits offense, Ascribing this power to his god.”

Then shall he sweep by as a wind, and shall pass over, and be guilty, even he whose might is his god.

“ At that time the people of Judah and Jerusalem will be told,‘ A scorching wind will sweep down from the hilltops in the desert on my dear people. It will not be a gentle breeze for winnowing the grain and blowing away the chaff.No, a wind too strong for that will come at my bidding. Yes, even now I, myself, am calling down judgment on them.’

So they brought the gold and silver vessels that had been confiscated from the temple, the house of God in Jerusalem, and the king and his nobles, together with his wives and concubines, drank from them.As they drank wine, they praised the gods of gold and silver, bronze, iron, wood, and stone.

And when his mind became arrogant and his spirit filled with pride, he was deposed from his royal throne and his honor was removed from him.

The king uttered these words:“ Is this not the great Babylon that I have built for a royal residence by my own mighty strength and for my majestic honor?”While these words were still on the king’s lips, a voice came down from heaven:“ It is hereby announced to you, King Nebuchadnezzar, that your kingdom has been removed from you!You will be driven from human society, and you will live with the wild animals. You will be fed grass like oxen, and seven periods of time will pass by for you before you understand that the Most High is ruler over human kingdoms and gives them to whomever he wishes.”Now in that very moment this pronouncement about Nebuchadnezzar came true. He was driven from human society, he ate grass like oxen, and his body became damp with the dew of the sky, until his hair became long like an eagle’s feathers, and his nails like a bird’s claws.But at the end of the appointed time I, Nebuchadnezzar, looked up toward heaven, and my sanity returned to me. I extolled the Most High, and I praised and glorified the one who lives forever. For his authority is an everlasting authority, and his kingdom extends from one generation to the next.
