Seven days from now I will send rain on the earth for forty days and forty nights, and I will wipe from the face of the earth every living creature I have made.”

洪水氾濫在地上四十天，水往上長，把方舟從地上漂起。

四十晝夜降大雨在地上。

耶和華說：「我要將所造的人和走獸，並昆蟲，以及空中的飛鳥，都從地上除滅，因為我造他們後悔了。」

看哪，我要使洪水氾濫在地上，毀滅天下；凡地上有血肉、有氣息的活物，無一不死。

神就對挪亞說：「凡有血氣的人，他的盡頭已經來到我面前；因為地上滿了他們的強暴，我要把他們和地一併毀滅。

他們未到死期，忽然除滅；根基毀壞，好像被江河沖去。

在收割的前三月，我使雨停止，不降在你們那裏；我降雨在這城，不降雨在那城；這塊地有雨，那塊地無雨；無雨的就枯乾了。

他又等了七天，放出鴿子去，鴿子就不再回來了。

凡得勝的必這樣穿白衣，我也必不從生命冊上塗抹他的名；且要在我父面前，和我父眾使者面前，認他的名。

願他們從生命冊上被塗抹，不得記錄在義人之中。

要為風定輕重，又度量諸水；

他使密雲盛滿水氣，布散電光之雲；這雲是藉他的指引游行旋轉，得以在全地面上行他一切所吩咐的，

過了那七天，洪水氾濫在地上。

你為這個滿了七日，我就把那個也給你，你再為她服事我七年。」雅各就如此行。滿了利亞的七日，拉班便將女兒拉結給雅各為妻。

倘或你肯赦免他們的罪......不然，求你從你所寫的冊上塗抹我的名。」耶和華對摩西說：「誰得罪我，我就從我的冊上塗抹誰的名。

野地還沒有草木，田間的菜蔬還沒有長起來；因為耶和華神還沒有降雨在地上，也沒有人耕地，

耶和華說：「人既屬乎血氣，我的靈就不永遠住在他裏面；然而他的日子還可到一百二十年。」

他吸取水點，這水點從雲霧中就變成雨；雲彩將雨落下，沛然降與世人。誰能明白雲彩如何鋪張，和神行宮的雷聲呢？他將亮光普照在自己的四圍；他又遮覆海底。他用這些審判眾民，且賜豐富的糧食。他以電光遮手，命閃電擊中敵人。

凡在地上有血肉的動物，就是飛鳥、牲畜、走獸，和爬在地上的昆蟲，以及所有的人，都死了。凡在旱地上、鼻孔有氣息的生靈都死了。凡地上各類的活物，連人帶牲畜、昆蟲，以及空中的飛鳥，都從地上除滅了，只留下挪亞和那些與他同在方舟裏的。

他又等了七天，再把鴿子從方舟放出去。
