Seven days from now I will send rain on the earth for forty days and forty nights, and I will wipe from the face of the earth every living creature I have made.”

洪水在地上泛滥了四十天，水不断地往上涨，把方舟漂了起来。

地上倾盆大雨降了四十昼夜。

说：“我要把所造的人从地上除掉，连同一切飞禽走兽和爬虫都除掉，我后悔造了他们。”

看啊，我要使洪水在地上泛滥，毁灭天下。地上一切有气息的生灵都要灭亡。

祂对挪亚说：“世人恶贯满盈，他们的结局到了。我要把他们跟大地一起毁灭。

他们死期未到便已夭逝，他们的根基被洪涛卷走。

“我在收割前三个月停止降雨。我在一座城降雨，在另一座城不降雨；我使一块田有雨水的滋润，另一块田因无雨而干裂。

等了七天，他又放出鸽子，这一次，鸽子没有回来。

得胜者必同样穿上白袍，我绝不会从生命册上抹去他的名字，我必在我父和众天使面前承认他的名。

愿他们的名字从生命册上被抹去，不得和义人的名字列在一起。

祂定下风的重量，量出水的规模；

祂使密云布满水气，从云端发出闪电。云随祂的指令旋转，在地面之上完成祂的吩咐，

那七天过后，洪水在地上泛滥起来。

等这七天的婚期过了，我就把拉结也许配给你，你再替我工作七年。”雅各同意了。过了七天，拉班把女儿拉结嫁给雅各，

恳求你赦免他们的罪，不然请你从你的册子上抹掉我的名字吧。”耶和华对摩西说：“谁得罪我，我就从我的册子上抹掉谁的名字。

地上还没有草木菜蔬，因为耶和华上帝还没有降雨在地上，土地也没有人耕作，

耶和华说：“人既然是血肉之躯，我的灵不会永远住在人的里面，然而人还可以活一百二十年。”

祂吸取水滴，使之在云雾中化为雨，从云端沛然降下，滋润人间。谁能明白云层的铺展，及祂幔幕发出的雷声？祂在四围铺展闪电，照亮大海的深处。祂借此治理万民，赐下丰富的食物。祂手握闪电，令它射向目标。

世上所有的飞禽、走兽、牲畜、爬虫和人类都死了。在陆地上所有用鼻孔呼吸的生灵都死了。地上的人类、飞禽走兽和爬虫等一切生灵都被毁灭了，只剩下挪亚和跟他同在方舟里的生灵。

过了七天，挪亚再把鸽子放出去。
