恃以色列有力之牧者、即雅各有能之上帝、故其弓仍勁、其手尚強。

惟賴雅各之全能天主、其弓堅勁、手臂強捷、由此為牧、為以色列所倚之磐、

But his bow remained steady, his strong arms stayed limber, because of the hand of the Mighty One of Jacob, because of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel,

But his bow remained steady. His strong arms moved freely. The hand of the Mighty God of Jacob was with him. The Shepherd, the Rock of Israel, stood by him.

yet his bow remained unmoved; his arms were made agile by the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob( from there is the Shepherd, the Stone of Israel),

But his bow remained taut, and his arms were strengthened by the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, by the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel.

Yet his bow remained steady, and his strong arms were made agile by the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, by the name of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel,

But his bow remained firm, And his arms were agile, From the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob( From there is the Shepherd, the Stone of Israel),

But his bow remained in strength, And the arms of his hands were made strong By the hands of the Mighty God of Jacob( From there is the Shepherd, the Stone of Israel),

But his bow abode in strength, And the arms of his hands were made strong, By the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob( From thence is the shepherd, the stone of Israel),

Yet his bow remained steady, and his strong arms were made agile by the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, by the name of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel,

But his bow will remain steady, and his hands will be skillful; because of the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, because of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel,

Therefore the Lord Yahweh says,“ Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious cornerstone of a sure foundation. He who believes shall not act hastily.

how he swore to Yahweh, and vowed to the Mighty One of Jacob:

until I find out a place for Yahweh, a dwelling for the Mighty One of Jacob.”

My glory is fresh in me. My bow is renewed in my hand.’

As for God, his way is perfect. Yahweh’s word is tried. He is a shield to all those who take refuge in him.

Hear us, Shepherd of Israel, you who lead Joseph like a flock, you who sit above the cherubim, shine out.

being built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the chief cornerstone;

The Rock: his work is perfect, for all his ways are just. A God of faithfulness who does no wrong, just and right is he.

Therefore the Lord, Yahweh of Armies, the Mighty One of Israel, says:“ Ah, I will get relief from my adversaries, and avenge myself on my enemies.

The stone which the builders rejected has become the cornerstone.

For they all would have made us afraid, saying,“ Their hands will be weakened from the work, that it not be done.” But now, strengthen my hands.

“ Let Yahweh, the God of the spirits of all flesh, appoint a man over the congregation,who may go out before them, and who may come in before them, and who may lead them out, and who may bring them in, that the congregation of Yahweh may not be as sheep which have no shepherd.”Yahweh said to Moses,“ Take Joshua the son of Nun, a man in whom is the Spirit, and lay your hand on him.

There I will provide for you; for there are yet five years of famine; lest you come to poverty, you, and your household, and all that you have.”’

coming to him, a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God, precious.You also, as living stones, are built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.Because it is contained in Scripture,“ Behold, I lay in Zion a chief cornerstone, chosen and precious: He who believes in him will not be disappointed.”For you who believe therefore is the honor, but for those who are disobedient,“ The stone which the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone,”and,“ a stumbling stone and a rock of offense.” For they stumble at the word, being disobedient, to which also they were appointed.

Moreover he said,“ I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.” Moses hid his face because he was afraid to look at God.

Now therefore don’t be afraid. I will provide for you and your little ones.” He comforted them, and spoke kindly to them.

They also who err in spirit will come to understanding, and those who grumble will receive instruction.”

Who are you who judge another’s servant? To his own lord he stands or falls. Yes, he will be made to stand, for God has power to make him stand.

the God who arms me with strength, and makes my way perfect?He makes my feet like deer’s feet, and sets me on my high places.He teaches my hands to war, so that my arms bend a bow of bronze.You have also given me the shield of your salvation. Your right hand sustains me. Your gentleness has made me great.

strengthened with all power, according to the might of his glory, for all endurance and perseverance with joy,

The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, to kill those who are upright on the path.Their sword shall enter into their own heart. Their bows shall be broken.

I will strengthen them in Yahweh; and they will walk up and down in his name,” says Yahweh.

Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.

For, behold, the stone that I have set before Joshua; on one stone are seven eyes: behold, I will engrave its engraving,’ says Yahweh of Armies,‘ and I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day.

Joseph provided his father, his brothers, and all of his father’s household with bread, according to the sizes of their families.

Joshua gathered all the tribes of Israel to Shechem, and called for the elders of Israel, for their heads, for their judges, and for their officers; and they presented themselves before God.Joshua said to all the people,“ Yahweh, the God of Israel, says,‘ Your fathers lived of old time beyond the River, even Terah, the father of Abraham, and the father of Nahor. They served other gods.I took your father Abraham from beyond the River, and led him throughout all the land of Canaan, and multiplied his offspring, and gave him Isaac.I gave to Isaac Jacob and Esau: and I gave to Esau Mount Seir, to possess it. Jacob and his children went down into Egypt.“‘ I sent Moses and Aaron, and I plagued Egypt, according to that which I did among them: and afterward I brought you out.I brought your fathers out of Egypt: and you came to the sea. The Egyptians pursued your fathers with chariots and with horsemen to the Red Sea.When they cried out to Yahweh, he put darkness between you and the Egyptians, and brought the sea on them, and covered them; and your eyes saw what I did in Egypt. You lived in the wilderness many days.“‘ I brought you into the land of the Amorites, that lived beyond the Jordan. They fought with you, and I gave them into your hand. You possessed their land, and I destroyed them from before you.Then Balak the son of Zippor, king of Moab, arose and fought against Israel. He sent and called Balaam the son of Beor to curse you,but I would not listen to Balaam; therefore he blessed you still. So I delivered you out of his hand.“‘ You went over the Jordan, and came to Jericho. The men of Jericho fought against you, the Amorite, the Perizzite, the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Girgashite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite; and I delivered them into your hand.I sent the hornet before you, which drove them out from before you, even the two kings of the Amorites; not with your sword, nor with your bow.I gave you a land on which you had not labored, and cities which you didn’t build, and you live in them. You eat of vineyards and olive groves which you didn’t plant.’“ Now therefore fear Yahweh, and serve him in sincerity and in truth. Put away the gods which your fathers served beyond the River, in Egypt; and serve Yahweh.If it seems evil to you to serve Yahweh, choose today whom you will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell; but as for me and my house, we will serve Yahweh.”The people answered,“ Far be it from us that we should forsake Yahweh, to serve other gods;for it is Yahweh our God who brought us and our fathers up out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage, and who did those great signs in our sight, and preserved us in all the way in which we went, and among all the peoples through the middle of whom we passed.Yahweh drove out from before us all the peoples, even the Amorites who lived in the land. Therefore we also will serve Yahweh; for he is our God.”Joshua said to the people,“ You can’t serve Yahweh, for he is a holy God. He is a jealous God. He will not forgive your disobedience nor your sins.If you forsake Yahweh, and serve foreign gods, then he will turn and do you evil, and consume you, after he has done you good.”The people said to Joshua,“ No, but we will serve Yahweh.”Joshua said to the people,“ You are witnesses against yourselves that you have chosen Yahweh yourselves, to serve him.” They said,“ We are witnesses.”“ Now therefore put away the foreign gods which are among you, and incline your heart to Yahweh, the God of Israel.”The people said to Joshua,“ We will serve Yahweh our God, and we will listen to his voice.”So Joshua made a covenant with the people that day, and made for them a statute and an ordinance in Shechem.Joshua wrote these words in the book of the law of God; and he took a great stone, and set it up there under the oak that was by the sanctuary of Yahweh.Joshua said to all the people,“ Behold, this stone shall be a witness against us, for it has heard all Yahweh’s words which he spoke to us. It shall be therefore a witness against you, lest you deny your God.”So Joshua sent the people away, each to his own inheritance.After these things, Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of Yahweh, died, being one hundred ten years old.They buried him in the border of his inheritance in Timnathserah, which is in the hill country of Ephraim, on the north of the mountain of Gaash.Israel served Yahweh all the days of Joshua, and all the days of the elders who outlived Joshua, and had known all the work of Yahweh, that he had worked for Israel.They buried the bones of Joseph, which the children of Israel brought up out of Egypt, in Shechem, in the parcel of ground which Jacob bought from the sons of Hamor the father of Shechem for a hundred pieces of silver. They became the inheritance of the children of Joseph.Eleazar the son of Aaron died. They buried him in the hill of Phinehas his son, which was given him in the hill country of Ephraim.

God said to him,“ Your name is Jacob. Your name shall not be Jacob any more, but your name will be Israel.” He named him Israel.God said to him,“ I am God Almighty. Be fruitful and multiply. A nation and a company of nations will be from you, and kings will come out of your body.

Jesus said to them,“ Did you never read in the Scriptures,‘ The stone which the builders rejected was made the head of the corner. This was from the Lord. It is marvelous in our eyes?’

But the Lord stood by me and strengthened me, that through me the message might be fully proclaimed, and that all the Gentiles might hear. So I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.

Wait for Yahweh. Be strong, and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for Yahweh.

Yahweh is my shepherd: I shall lack nothing.

He is‘ the stone which was regarded as worthless by you, the builders, which has become the head of the corner.’

God sent me before you to preserve for you a remnant in the earth, and to save you alive by a great deliverance.

But he looked at them and said,“ Then what is this that is written,‘ The stone which the builders rejected was made the chief cornerstone?’

I love you, Yahweh, my strength.

Now don’t be grieved, nor angry with yourselves, that you sold me here, for God sent me before you to preserve life.

Now after the death of Moses the servant of Yahweh, Yahweh spoke to Joshua the son of Nun, Moses’ servant, saying,“ Moses my servant is dead. Now therefore arise, go across this Jordan, you and all these people, to the land which I am giving to them, even to the children of Israel.I have given you every place that the sole of your foot will tread on, as I told Moses.From the wilderness and this Lebanon even to the great river, the river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and to the great sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your border.No man will be able to stand before you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not fail you nor forsake you.“ Be strong and courageous; for you shall cause this people to inherit the land which I swore to their fathers to give them.Only be strong and very courageous. Be careful to observe to do according to all the law which Moses my servant commanded you. Don’t turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may have good success wherever you go.This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it; for then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall have good success.Haven’t I commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Don’t be afraid. Don’t be dismayed, for Yahweh your God is with you wherever you go.”

I will sing of the loving kindness of Yahweh forever. With my mouth, I will make known your faithfulness to all generations.

Haven’t you even read this Scripture:‘ The stone which the builders rejected was made the head of the corner.

But you have saved us from our adversaries, and have shamed those who hate us.

Yahweh is their strength. He is a stronghold of salvation to his anointed.

You will also drink the milk of the nations, and will nurse from royal breasts. Then you will know that I, Yahweh, am your Savior, your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.

Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom, for Moses had laid his hands on him. The children of Israel listened to him, and did as Yahweh commanded Moses.
