But his bow remained steady, his strong arms stayed limber, because of the hand of the Mighty One of Jacob, because of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel,

But his bow remained steady. His strong arms moved freely. The hand of the Mighty God of Jacob was with him. The Shepherd, the Rock of Israel, stood by him.

Yet his bow remained steady, and his strong arms were made agile by the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, by the name of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel,

So this is what the Sovereign Lord says:“ See, I lay a stone in Zion, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone for a sure foundation; the one who relies on it will never be stricken with panic. (niv)

He swore an oath to the Lord, he made a vow to the Mighty One of Jacob: (niv)

till I find a place for the Lord, a dwelling for the Mighty One of Jacob.” (niv)

My glory will not fade; the bow will be ever new in my hand.’ (niv)

As for God, his way is perfect: The Lord’s word is flawless; he shields all who take refuge in him. (niv)

Hear us, Shepherd of Israel, you who lead Joseph like a flock. You who sit enthroned between the cherubim, shine forth (niv)

built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. (niv)

He is the Rock, his works are perfect, and all his ways are just. A faithful God who does no wrong, upright and just is he. (niv)

Therefore the Lord, the Lord Almighty, the Mighty One of Israel, declares:“ Ah! I will vent my wrath on my foes and avenge myself on my enemies. (niv)

The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone; (niv)

They were all trying to frighten us, thinking,“ Their hands will get too weak for the work, and it will not be completed.” But I prayed,“ Now strengthen my hands.” (niv)

“ May the Lord, the God who gives breath to all living things, appoint someone over this communityto go out and come in before them, one who will lead them out and bring them in, so the Lord’s people will not be like sheep without a shepherd.”So the Lord said to Moses,“ Take Joshua son of Nun, a man in whom is the spirit of leadership, and lay your hand on him. I will provide for you there, because five years of famine are still to come. Otherwise you and your household and all who belong to you will become destitute.’ (niv)

As you come to him, the living Stone— rejected by humans but chosen by God and precious to him—you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.For in Scripture it says:“ See, I lay a stone in Zion, a chosen and precious cornerstone, and the one who trusts in him will never be put to shame.”Now to you who believe, this stone is precious. But to those who do not believe,“ The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone,”and,“ A stone that causes people to stumble and a rock that makes them fall.” They stumble because they disobey the message— which is also what they were destined for. Then he said,“ I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob.” At this, Moses hid his face, because he was afraid to look at God. (niv)

So then, don’t be afraid. I will provide for you and your children.” And he reassured them and spoke kindly to them. (niv)

Those who are wayward in spirit will gain understanding; those who complain will accept instruction.” (niv)

Who are you to judge someone else’s servant? To their own master, servants stand or fall. And they will stand, for the Lord is able to make them stand. (niv)

It is God who arms me with strength and keeps my way secure.He makes my feet like the feet of a deer; he causes me to stand on the heights.He trains my hands for battle; my arms can bend a bow of bronze.You make your saving help my shield, and your right hand sustains me; your help has made me great. being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, (niv)

The wicked draw the sword and bend the bow to bring down the poor and needy, to slay those whose ways are upright.But their swords will pierce their own hearts, and their bows will be broken. (niv)

I will strengthen them in the Lord and in his name they will live securely,” declares the Lord. (niv)

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. (niv)

See, the stone I have set in front of Joshua! There are seven eyes on that one stone, and I will engrave an inscription on it,’ says the Lord Almighty,‘ and I will remove the sin of this land in a single day. (niv)

He will not forgive your rebellion and your sins.If you forsake the Lord and serve foreign gods, he will turn and bring disaster on you and make an end of you, after he has been good to you.”But the people said to Joshua,“ No! We will serve the Lord.”Then Joshua said,“ You are witnesses against yourselves that you have chosen to serve the Lord.”“ Yes, we are witnesses,” they replied.“ Now then,” said Joshua,“ throw away the foreign gods that are among you and yield your hearts to the Lord, the God of Israel.”And the people said to Joshua,“ We will serve the Lord our God and obey him.”On that day Joshua made a covenant for the people, and there at Shechem he reaffirmed for them decrees and laws.And Joshua recorded these things in the Book of the Law of God. Then he took a large stone and set it up there under the oak near the holy place of the Lord.“ See!” he said to all the people.“ This stone will be a witness against us. It has heard all the words the Lord has said to us. It will be a witness against you if you are untrue to your God.”Then Joshua dismissed the people, each to their own inheritance.After these things, Joshua son of Nun, the servant of the Lord, died at the age of a hundred and ten.And they buried him in the land of his inheritance, at Timnath Serah in the hill country of Ephraim, north of Mount Gaash.Israel served the Lord throughout the lifetime of Joshua and of the elders who outlived him and who had experienced everything the Lord had done for Israel.And Joseph’s bones, which the Israelites had brought up from Egypt, were buried at Shechem in the tract of land that Jacob bought for a hundred pieces of silver from the sons of Hamor, the father of Shechem. This became the inheritance of Joseph’s descendants.And Eleazar son of Aaron died and was buried at Gibeah, which had been allotted to his son Phinehas in the hill country of Ephraim. (niv)

God said to him,“ Your name is Jacob, but you will no longer be called Jacob; your name will be Israel.” So he named him Israel.And God said to him,“ I am God Almighty; be fruitful and increase in number. A nation and a community of nations will come from you, and kings will be among your descendants. (niv)

Jesus said to them,“ Have you never read in the Scriptures:“‘ The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone; the Lord has done this, and it is marvelous in our eyes’ (niv)

But the Lord stood at my side and gave me strength, so that through me the message might be fully proclaimed and all the Gentiles might hear it. And I was delivered from the lion’s mouth. (niv)

Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord. (niv)

The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. (niv)

Jesus is“‘ the stone you builders rejected, which has become the cornerstone.’ (niv)

But God sent me ahead of you to preserve for you a remnant on earth and to save your lives by a great deliverance. (niv)

Jesus looked directly at them and asked,“ Then what is the meaning of that which is written:“‘ The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone’? (niv)

I love you, Lord, my strength. (niv)

And now, do not be distressed and do not be angry with yourselves for selling me here, because it was to save lives that God sent me ahead of you. (niv)

After the death of Moses the servant of the Lord, the Lord said to Joshua son of Nun, Moses’ aide:“ Moses my servant is dead. Now then, you and all these people, get ready to cross the Jordan River into the land I am about to give to them— to the Israelites.I will give you every place where you set your foot, as I promised Moses.Your territory will extend from the desert to Lebanon, and from the great river, the Euphrates— all the Hittite country— to the Mediterranean Sea in the west.No one will be able to stand against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you.Be strong and courageous, because you will lead these people to inherit the land I swore to their ancestors to give them.“ Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go.Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” (niv)

I will sing of the Lord’s great love forever; with my mouth I will make your faithfulness known through all generations. (niv)

Haven’t you read this passage of Scripture:“‘ The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone; (niv)

but you give us victory over our enemies, you put our adversaries to shame. (niv)

The Lord is the strength of his people, a fortress of salvation for his anointed one. (niv)

You will drink the milk of nations and be nursed at royal breasts. Then you will know that I, the Lord, am your Savior, your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob. (niv)

Now Joshua son of Nun was filled with the spirit of wisdom because Moses had laid his hands on him. So the Israelites listened to him and did what the Lord had commanded Moses. (niv)
