But Israel reached out his right hand and put it on Ephraim’s head, though he was the younger, and crossing his arms, he put his left hand on Manasseh’s head, even though Manasseh was the firstborn.

約瑟給長子起名叫瑪拿西，因為他說：『上帝使我忘卻了我一切困苦、和我父全家。』。

那時有人帶了小孩子上耶穌跟前來，要耶穌給他們按手禱告；門徒責備那些人。

我取了利未人、來代替以色列人中一切頭胎的。

永恆主的神諭對我主我王說：『你坐在我右邊，等我處置你仇敵、做你腳的凳子。』

就給她按手；她立時得直起來，就將榮耀歸與上帝。

於是使徒給他們按手，他們就受了聖靈。西門見藉着使徒的按手，便有聖靈賜下來，就將錢獻給使徒，說：『把這權柄也給我，使我無論給誰按手，誰就可以受聖靈。』

約瑟對他父親說：『不是這樣，阿爸；這個才是長子；請把你的右手按在他頭上。』

日落的時候、凡有病人、無論患甚麼疾病、人都把病人帶到耶穌那裏；耶穌都給他們每一個人按手，治好他們。

就給他們按手，從那裏往前走。

『你們禱告的時候，不可像假冒為善的人、喜愛在會堂裏、在大街的彎角上、站着禱告，好對人顯明着。我實在告訴你們，他們已經收到了他們的賞報了。

叫他們站在使徒面前；使徒就禱告，給他們按手。

你將利未人奉到永恆主面前，以色列人要按手在利未人頭上：

約瑟在埃及地生了瑪拿西和以法蓮，就是安城祭司波提非拉的女兒亞西納給約瑟生的：

永恆主啊，你的右手威嚴而大有能力；永恆主啊，你的右手擊碎了仇敵。

我還告訴你，你是石頭彼得；在這磐石上我要建立我的教會，陰間的門戶必沒有力量勝過她。

不要輕易給人「按手」，也不要在別人的罪上有份兒；要保守你自己清潔。

於是他們禁食禱告，給二人按手，就打發他們走了。

嫩的兒子約書亞、因為摩西曾經按手在他頭上、就被才智的靈充滿着，以色列人便聽從他，照永恆主所吩咐摩西的去行。

別輕忽在你身上屬靈的恩賜了；這恩賜是從前藉着神言之傳講、連同長老會之按手所賜給你的。

永恆主的右手高高舉起；永恆主的右手施展着大能。』
