約瑟照著法老的吩咐安置他的父親和兄弟們，把蘭塞地，就是埃及地最好的地方，給他們作產業。

你要從人民中間選出有才能的人，就是敬畏神、忠實可信、恨惡不義之財的人，設立他們作千夫長、百夫長、五十夫長、十夫長，去管理人民，

你見過辦事能幹的人嗎？他必侍立在君王面前，必不會侍立在低微的人面前。

他們又對法老說：“我們來是要在這地寄居，因為迦南地的饑荒嚴重，你僕人們的羊群沒有草吃，所以，現在求你容許你僕人住在歌珊地。”

摩西從全體以色列人中選出了有才能的人，立他們作人民的首領，作千夫長、百夫長、五十夫長、十夫長。

這樣，你們可以與我們同住；這地就擺在你們面前，只管在其中居住，來往作買賣，購置產業吧。”

但那不把耶和華這話放在心上的，卻把他的僕人和牲畜留在田裡。

看哪，耶和華的手必用嚴重的瘟疫加在你田間的牲畜身上，加在馬、驢、駱駝、牛群、羊群身上。耶和華必把以色列的牲畜和埃及人的牲畜分別出來；所有屬於以色列人的，一隻也不死去。’”耶和華就定了時候，說：“明天耶和華必在此地行這事。”第二天，耶和華就行了這事，埃及人全部的牲畜都死了；可是屬於以色列人的牲畜，一隻也沒有死去。

正如你把管理全人類的權柄給了他，使他賜永生給你所賜給他的人。

全地不都是在你面前嗎？請你離開我吧！你若向左，我就向右；你若向右，我就向左。”

那天有一個掃羅的臣僕在那裡，留在耶和華面前。他名叫多益，是以東人，是掃羅牧羊人中的領袖。

管理在沙崙牧放的牛群的，是沙崙人施提賚；管理在山谷的牛群的，是亞第賚的兒子沙法；管理駱駝的，是以實瑪利人阿比勒；管理驢群的，是米崙人耶希底亞；管理羊群的，是夏甲人雅悉。以上這些人都是給大衛王管理產業的官員。

摩西和亞倫取了爐灰，站在法老面前；摩西把爐灰向天上揚起來，人和牲畜身上就生出了疹病和膿瘡。

亞比米勒說：“看哪，我的國土都在你面前，你喜歡哪裡，就住在哪裡吧。”

他又在曠野建造了一些瞭望樓，挖了許多貯水池，因為他在高原和平原上有很多牲畜；又因為他喜愛種植，所以在山地上和果園裡，雇有農夫和修剪葡萄樹的工人。

把你們的父親和家人都接到我這裡來；我要把埃及地美好的產物賜給你們，你們也可以吃這地肥美的食物。’現在我再吩咐你對他們說：‘你們要這樣作：從埃及地帶些車輛回去，用來接你們的孩子和妻子，並且把你們的父親接來。不要顧惜你們的家具，因為埃及全地美好的產物都是你們的。’”

約瑟回答：“如果銀子用完了，可以把你們的牲畜給我，我就把糧食給你們，交換你們的牲畜。”

君王的心在耶和華手中，好像水溝的水，他可以隨意轉移。
