He asked them how they were. Then he said,“ How is your old father you told me about? Is he still living?”

He asked them how they were, and then he said,“ How is your aged father you told me about? Is he still living?”

And he inquired about their welfare and said,“ Is your father well, the old man of whom you spoke? Is he still alive?”

After greeting them, he asked,“ How is your father, the old man you spoke about? Is he still alive?”

He asked if they were well, and he said,“ How is your elderly father that you told me about? Is he still alive?”

Then he asked them about their welfare, and said,“ Is your old father well, of whom you spoke? Is he still alive?”

Then he asked them about their well-being, and said,“ Is your father well, the old man of whom you spoke? Is he still alive?”

And he asked them of their welfare, and said, Is your father well, the old man of whom ye spake? Is he yet alive?

He asked if they were well, and he said,“ How is your elderly father that you told me about? Is he still alive?”

And he asked them of[ their] welfare, and said,[ Is] your father well, the old man of whom ye spake?[ Is] he yet alive?

He asked them how they were doing. Then he said,“ Is your aging father well, the one you spoke about? Is he still alive?”

He asked them of their welfare, and said,“ Is your father well, the old man of whom you spoke? Is he yet alive?”

All of us are the sons of one man. We’re honest men. We aren’t spies.”

But they replied,“ We were 12 brothers. All of us were the sons of one man. He lives in the land of Canaan. Our youngest brother is now with our father. And one brother is gone.”

“ I can’t do it,” Joseph replied to Pharaoh.“ But God will give Pharaoh the answer he wants.”

So he sent for ten young men. He said to them,“ Go up to Nabal at Carmel. Greet him for me.

So Israel said to him,“ Go to your brothers. See how they are doing. Also see how the flocks are doing. Then come back and tell me.” So he sent him away from the Hebron Valley. Joseph arrived at Shechem.

So Moses went out to meet his father- in- law. Moses bowed down and kissed him. They greeted each other. Then they went into the tent.

They replied,“ The man questioned us closely about ourselves and our family. He asked us,‘ Is your father still living? Do you have another brother?’ We just answered his questions. How could we possibly know he would say,‘ Bring your brother down here’?”

So Tou sent his son Hadoram to King David. Hadoram greeted David. He praised him because David had won the battle over Hadadezer. Hadadezer had been at war with Tou. So Hadoram brought David all kinds of things made out of gold, of silver and of bronze.

David left what he had brought with the man who took care of the supplies. He ran to the battle lines and asked his brothers how they were.

So they turned off the road and stopped there. They went to the house of the young Levite. He was at Micah’s place. They greeted the young man.
