Now the men were frightened when they were taken to his house. They thought,“ We were brought here because of the silver that was put back into our sacks the first time. He wants to attack us and overpower us and seize us as slaves and take our donkeys.”

後來他們倒布袋的時候，不料各人的銀包仍然在各人的布袋裡。他們和他們的父親看見了銀包，就都懼怕起來。

我思想要明白這事，我就看為煩惱；

捏造可恥的事毀謗她，破壞她的名譽，說：‘我娶了這個女子，和她親近的時候，發現她沒有貞潔的憑據。’

門徒見他在海面上行走，就很驚慌，說：“有鬼啊！”並且恐懼得大叫起來。耶穌立刻對他們說：“放心吧！是我，不要怕。”

他們在無可驚懼的時候，必大大震驚；因為神把那些紮營攻擊你的人的骨頭擊散了；他們蒙羞受辱，因為神棄絕了他們。

瑪挪亞對他的妻子說：“我們必定要死，因為我們看見了神。”

捏造可恥的事毀謗她，說：“我發現你的女兒沒有貞潔的憑據。”其實這就是我女兒的憑據。’於是，他們就把衣服鋪在那城的長老面前。

有人告訴大衛家說：“亞蘭已經在以法蓮地安營。”王的心和人民的心就都震動，像林中的樹被風搖動一樣。

他們彼此說：“我們在對待弟弟的事上實在有罪。他向我們求情的時候，我們看見他心裡的痛苦，卻不肯聽他，所以這次苦難臨到我們身上了。”

他的父母卻不知道這事是出於耶和華，因為他正在找機會攻擊非利士人。那時非利士人正統治著以色列人。

於是對兄弟們說：“我的銀子都歸還了。你們看，就在我的布袋裡。”他們就心裡驚慌，彼此戰戰兢兢地說：“神向我們作的是甚麼呢？”

希律聽見就說：“是約翰，我砍了他的頭，他又活了！”

他們闖進來如闖大破口，在廢墟之中輥過來，

恐怖之聲常在他的耳中，太平的時候，強盜就來襲擊他。

但罪趁著機會，藉著誡命在我裡面發動各樣的貪心，因為沒有律法，罪是死的。
