Then he remembered his dreams about them and said to them,“ You are spies! You have come to see where our land is unprotected.”

Then Joseph remembered his dreams about them. So he said to them,“ You are spies! You have come to see the places where our land isn’t guarded very well.”

And Joseph remembered the dreams that he had dreamed of them. And he said to them,“ You are spies; you have come to see the nakedness of the land.”

And he remembered the dreams he’d had about them many years before. He said to them,“ You are spies! You have come to see how vulnerable our land has become.”

Joseph remembered his dreams about them and said to them,“ You are spies. You have come to see the weakness of the land.”

And Joseph remembered the dreams which he had about them, and he said to them,“ You are spies; you have come to look at the undefended parts of our land.”

Then Joseph remembered the dreams which he had dreamed about them, and said to them,“ You are spies! You have come to see the nakedness of the land!”

And Joseph remembered the dreams which he dreamed of them, and said unto them, Ye are spies; to see the nakedness of the land ye are come.

約瑟做了一個夢，告訴他哥哥們，他們就更加恨他。約瑟對他們說：「請聽我做的這個夢：看哪，我們在田裏捆禾稼；看哪，我的捆起來站着；看哪，你們的捆圍着我的捆下拜。」他的哥哥們對他說：「難道你真的要作我們的王嗎？難道你真的要統治我們嗎？」他們就因他的夢和他的話更加恨他。後來他又做了另一個夢，告訴他哥哥們說：「看哪，我又做了一個夢；看哪，太陽、月亮和十一顆星都向我下拜。」

探子看見一個人從城裏出來，就對他說：「請你把進城的路指示我們，我們會厚待你。」

兩個作過探子的青年進去，把喇合與她的父母、兄弟，和她所有的帶出來，他們把她所有的親屬都帶出來，安置在以色列的營外。

耶和華降災與百姓，因為他們和亞倫一起造了牛犢。

這些是摩西差派去窺探那地之人的名字。摩西叫嫩的兒子何西阿為約書亞。摩西差派他們去窺探迦南地，對他們說：「你們上到尼革夫那裏，上到山區去，看看那地如何：住那裏的百姓是強是弱，是多是少，他們所住的地是好是壞，所住的城鎮是營地還是堡壘，那地是肥沃還是貧瘠，當中有樹木沒有。你們要放膽，把那地的果子帶些回來。」那時正是葡萄初熟的季節。

再把你們最小的弟弟帶到我這裏來，我就知道你們不是奸細，是誠實的人。然後，我就把你們的兄弟交還你們，你們也可以在此地做買賣。』」

「你要派人去窺探我所賜給以色列人的迦南地；每個父系支派要派一個人，是他們中間的族長。」

因着信，妓女喇合曾友善地接待探子，就沒有跟那些不順從的人一同滅亡。

於是他們窺探耶穌，打發奸細裝作好人，要在他的話上抓把柄，好把他交給總督處置。

嫩的兒子約書亞從什亭暗中派兩個人作探子，說：「你們去窺探那地和耶利哥。」於是二人去了，來到一個名叫喇合的妓女家裏，在那裏睡覺。

「那地的主對我們說嚴厲的話，把我們當作窺探那地的奸細。我們對他說：『我們是誠實的人，並不是奸細。

大衛就派人去探聽，知道掃羅果然來了。

要派你們當中的一個人去，把你們的弟弟帶來。至於你們，都要關在這裏，好證實你們的話是不是真的。若不是，我指着法老的性命起誓，你們一定是奸細。」
