雅各謂眾子曰、爾曹喪我子矣、約瑟已亡、西面亦亡、今欲取便雅憫、此皆害及我身。

Their father Jacob said to them,“ You have deprived me of my children. Joseph is no more and Simeon is no more, and now you want to take Benjamin. Everything is against me!”

Their father Jacob said to them,“ You have taken my children away from me. Joseph is gone. Simeon is gone. Now you want to take Benjamin. Everything is going against me!”

And Jacob their father said to them,“ You have bereaved me of my children: Joseph is no more, and Simeon is no more, and now you would take Benjamin. All this has come against me.”

Jacob exclaimed,“ You are robbing me of my children! Joseph is gone! Simeon is gone! And now you want to take Benjamin, too. Everything is going against me!”

Their father Jacob said to them,“ It’s me that you make childless. Joseph is gone, and Simeon is gone. Now you want to take Benjamin. Everything happens to me!”

And their father Jacob said to them,“ You have deprived me of my sons: Joseph is gone, and Simeon is gone, and now you would take Benjamin; all these things are against me.”

And Jacob their father said to them,“ You have bereaved me: Joseph is no more, Simeon is no more, and you want to take Benjamin. All these things are against me.”

And Jacob their father said unto them, Me have ye bereaved of my children: Joseph is not, and Simeon is not, and ye will take Benjamin away: all these things are against me.

Their father Jacob said to them,“ You have deprived me of my sons. Joseph is gone and Simeon is gone. Now you want to take Benjamin. Everything happens to me!”

And Jacob their father said unto them, Me have ye bereaved[ of my children]: Joseph[ is] not, and Simeon[ is] not, and ye will take Benjamin[ away]: all these things are against me.

Their father Jacob said to them,“ You are making me childless! Joseph is gone. Simeon is gone. And now you want to take Benjamin! Everything is against me.”

Jacob, their father, said to them,“ You have bereaved me of my children! Joseph is no more, Simeon is no more, and you want to take Benjamin away. All these things are against me.”

願全能之上帝、使爾蒙矜恤於其前、釋爾兄與便雅憫、若我喪子、則喪之耳、

我嘗自謂、我日當午、將入陰府之門、絕我餘齡、

耶穌以手援之、曰、小信者何疑乎、

雅各之愆得宥、其罪見除之果、在於使壇石糜爛如灰、木偶日像、不復樹立、

約瑟供養父兄、暨父眷屬、各視其家而給之、○

我儕知萬事同工、以益夫愛上帝者、即依其旨而蒙召者也、

勿畏葸、以我偕爾、勿恇怯、以我為爾上帝、我必鞏固爾、輔助爾、以我公義之右手扶持爾、

曰、足矣、吾子約瑟尚在、我未死、必往見之、

事之終愈於事之始、心忍愈於心驕、

爾所遇之試、無非人之可忍者、上帝誠信、不忍爾遇試過爾所能、必於其中闢途、使能勝之、○

我命只在呼吸、爾其念之、我目不復見福祉、

莫若殺之、擲於井、謂為惡獸所食、觀其夢有何徵驗、流便聞之、欲救約瑟曰、勿戕其命、又曰、勿流其血、勿著以手、曠野有井、投之於中可也、蓋欲援之、歸諸其父、約瑟至、諸兄褫其彩衣、執而投諸眢井、○諸兄坐而食餅、望見以實瑪利人、聯隊自基列來、以羣駝負香料乳香沒藥、欲下埃及、猶大謂兄弟曰、殺弟而匿其血、何益之有、彼乃我弟、我之骨肉、毋著以手、莫若鬻於以實瑪利人、兄弟從之、以實瑪利人乃米甸賈、適經其處、諸兄乃援約瑟出井、鬻之、獲金二十、以實瑪利人挈約瑟往埃及、○流便至井、窺約瑟不在、遂裂己衣、返見諸弟曰、孺子不在、我將焉往、昆弟宰牡山羊、濡約瑟衣於血、遣人攜之詣父曰、我儕得此、試觀為爾子之衣否、雅各識之、曰、是吾子之衣也、彼為惡獸所食、約瑟破裂無疑矣、遂裂己衣、腰束以麻、傷悼日久、子女羣來相慰、父不受慰、曰、我必悲哀至於陰府、就子乃已、父之痛子如此、

我耶和華爾之上帝、必攜爾右手、謂爾曰、勿懼、我輔助爾、耶和華曰、若蚓之雅各、以色列人歟、勿懼、我必助爾、救贖爾者、乃以色列之聖者也、

蓋我暫而且微之苦、適成我儕隆重悠久之榮、

如是、將何言耶、若上帝佑我、誰能敵我、

義者患難孔多、耶和華悉拯之、

兄弟乎、宜恆忍以待主臨、試觀農人冀地之嘉產、恆忍以待、至得前後之雨、爾亦宜恆忍、堅乃心、蓋主之臨伊邇也、兄弟乎、勿相嗟怨、免爾受鞫、鞫者已立門前矣、兄弟乎、取奉主名而言之諸先知、為受苦恆忍之模範、恆忍者、謂之有福、約伯之忍、爾聞之矣、主究竟如何、爾見之矣、蓋主極其慈悲矜恤也、○
