非我較天下人有智、惟上帝以此秘奧示我、遣我以兆告王、使王追憶前事、

我二人同夜得夢、夢各不同、不知何兆。在獄有希百來少者、侍衛長之役、我以夢告之、其占我夢、各示以兆。占無不應、臣得復職、膳長懸木。○

其名但以理、王稱之曰伯底沙撒、心靈性敏、能解夢兆、能明隱語、剖析疑義、今可召之、必能解其意焉。

既夕、上帝於異象中、以秘奧示但以理、但以理祝天上上帝、曰、上帝智能俱備、當頌美之、永世靡暨、主限時日、升降君王、使賢者有智、哲者明慧、以秘奧之事示人、光暗無不灼知、我祝謝列祖之上帝、賜我智能、以王夢示我、應我所求、

爾懸木而殺之耶穌、我祖之上帝復生之、

曰、我儕得夢、無人能占其兆。約瑟曰、占其兆者、由於上帝所示、請述其詳。

約瑟對曰、非臣所能知也、願上帝以平康之兆、賜於法老。
