我實在是從希伯來人之地被拐來的，我在這裏也沒有做過甚麼，好叫他們把我關在牢裏。」

人用腳鐐傷他的腳，他被鐵的項鏈捆鎖。耶和華的話試煉他，直等所說的應驗了。

倘若你們為使良心對得起上帝，忍受冤屈的痛苦，這是可讚許的。

我為這福音受苦難，甚至像犯人一樣被捆綁，然而上帝的話沒有被捆綁。

這三人穿着內袍、外衣、頭巾和其他的衣服，被捆起來扔在烈火的窰中。因為王的命令緊急，窰又非常熱，那抬沙得拉、米煞、亞伯尼歌的人都被火焰燒死。

那時司酒長對法老說：「我今日想起我的罪來。從前法老對臣僕發怒，把我和司膳長關在護衛長府內的監牢裏。我們兩人在同一晚上各做一夢，每個夢都有各自的解釋。同我們在一起有一個希伯來的年輕人，是護衛長的僕人。我們告訴他，他就為我們解夢，照着各人的夢講解。後來事情正如他給我們講解的實現了，我官復原職，司膳長被掛起來了。」於是法老派人去召約瑟，他們就急忙把他從牢裏提出來。他就剃頭刮臉，換衣服，進到法老面前。

這些事以後，埃及王的司酒長和司膳長得罪了他們的主埃及王。法老就對司酒長和司膳長兩個官員發怒，把他們關在護衛長府內的監獄裏，就是約瑟被囚的地方。

人的憤怒終必稱謝你，你要以人的餘怒束腰。

因受欺壓和審判，他被奪去，誰能想到他的世代呢？因為他從活人之地被剪除，為我百姓的罪過他被帶到死裏。
