人們用腳鐐傷了他的腳，他的脖子被套進鐵索；耶和華的言語熬煉他，直到他的話語應驗。

因為人如果為了在神面前良心的緣故，在不公正的苦害中忍受憂患，這是可稱讚的；

我為這福音受苦，甚至像罪犯一樣被捆綁；然而神的話語是不受捆綁的。

於是這三個人穿著長袍、長褲和其他的衣服，戴著頭巾，被綁起來扔進了烈火燃燒的窯中。由於從王發出的命令急迫，窯又燒得非常熱，烈火的火焰燒死了那些抬沙德拉克、米沙克、亞伯尼哥的人。

那時司酒長對法老說：「我今天想起了我的罪過。法老曾對臣僕發怒，把我和司膳長關在護衛長府中的牢裡。在同一夜，我和他都做了夢，各夢各有其解。在那裡有一個希伯來少年與我們在一起，是護衛長的奴僕。我們把夢向他講述，他就照著我們各自的夢分別為我們解夢。後來，事情正是像他給我們解釋的那樣發生了：法老使我官復原位，卻把司膳長掛了起來。」於是法老派人去召約瑟，他們就急忙把他從地牢裡帶出來。他剃頭刮臉，更換衣服，來到法老面前。

這些事以後，埃及王的司酒長和司膳長得罪了他們的主埃及王。法老就對司酒長和司膳長這兩個內臣發怒，把他們關到護衛長府中的牢裡，就是約瑟被囚的監獄。

人的怒火，也會使你得稱讚；你也會以餘怒束腰。

因受迫害和審判，他被除去；誰能述說他的世代呢？其實他從活人之地被剪除、被擊打，是因我子民的過犯。
