Then he had another dream, and he told it to his brothers.“ Listen,” he said,“ I had another dream, and this time the sun and moon and eleven stars were bowing down to me.”

Then Joseph had another dream. He told it to his brothers.“ Listen,” he said.“ I had another dream. This time the sun and moon and 11 stars were bowing down to me.”

Then he dreamed another dream and told it to his brothers and said,“ Behold, I have dreamed another dream. Behold, the sun, the moon, and eleven stars were bowing down to me.”

Soon Joseph had another dream, and again he told his brothers about it.“ Listen, I have had another dream,” he said.“ The sun, moon, and eleven stars bowed low before me!”

Then he had another dream and told it to his brothers.“ Look,” he said,“ I had another dream, and this time the sun, moon, and eleven stars were bowing down to me.”

Then he had yet another dream, and informed his brothers of it, and said,“ Behold, I have had yet another dream; and behold, the sun and the moon, and eleven stars were bowing down to me.”

Then he dreamed still another dream and told it to his brothers, and said,“ Look, I have dreamed another dream. And this time, the sun, the moon, and the eleven stars bowed down to me.”

And he dreamed yet another dream, and told it to his brethren, and said, Behold, I have dreamed yet a dream; and, behold, the sun and the moon and eleven stars made obeisance to me.

Then he had another dream and told it to his brothers.“ Look,” he said,“ I had another dream, and this time the sun, moon, and 11 stars were bowing down to me.”

And he dreamed yet another dream, and told it his brethren, and said, Behold, I have dreamed a dream more; and, behold, the sun and the moon and the eleven stars made obeisance to me.

“ Because the patriarchs were jealous of Joseph, they sold him as a slave into Egypt. But God was with himand rescued him from all his troubles. He gave Joseph wisdom and enabled him to gain the goodwill of Pharaoh king of Egypt. So Pharaoh made him ruler over Egypt and all his palace.“ Then a famine struck all Egypt and Canaan, bringing great suffering, and our ancestors could not find food.When Jacob heard that there was grain in Egypt, he sent our forefathers on their first visit.On their second visit, Joseph told his brothers who he was, and Pharaoh learned about Joseph’s family.After this, Joseph sent for his father Jacob and his whole family, seventy-five in all. Joseph was still in the house when Judah and his brothers came in, and they threw themselves to the ground before him. (niv)

When Joseph’s brothers saw that their father was dead, they said,“ What if Joseph holds a grudge against us and pays us back for all the wrongs we did to him?”So they sent word to Joseph, saying,“ Your father left these instructions before he died:‘ This is what you are to say to Joseph: I ask you to forgive your brothers the sins and the wrongs they committed in treating you so badly.’ Now please forgive the sins of the servants of the God of your father.” When their message came to him, Joseph wept.His brothers then came and threw themselves down before him.“ We are your slaves,” they said.But Joseph said to them,“ Don’t be afraid. Am I in the place of God?You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.So then, don’t be afraid. I will provide for you and your children.” And he reassured them and spoke kindly to them. (niv)

Now hurry back to my father and say to him,‘ This is what your son Joseph says: God has made me lord of all Egypt. Come down to me; don’t delay. (niv)

We were binding sheaves of grain out in the field when suddenly my sheaf rose and stood upright, while your sheaves gathered around mine and bowed down to it.” (niv)

The reason the dream was given to Pharaoh in two forms is that the matter has been firmly decided by God, and God will do it soon. (niv)

It grew until it reached the host of the heavens, and it threw some of the starry host down to the earth and trampled on them. (niv)

They replied,“ Your servant our father is still alive and well.” And they bowed down, prostrating themselves before him. (niv)

Joseph had his chariot made ready and went to Goshen to meet his father Israel. As soon as Joseph appeared before him, he threw his arms around his father and wept for a long time. (niv)

so that you may become blameless and pure,“ children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.” Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky (niv)

Then Joseph said to Pharaoh,“ The dreams of Pharaoh are one and the same. God has revealed to Pharaoh what he is about to do. (niv)

Joseph also provided his father and his brothers and all his father’s household with food, according to the number of their children. (niv)

My lord asked his servants,‘ Do you have a father or a brother?’ (niv)

When he told his father as well as his brothers, his father rebuked him and said,“ What is this dream you had? Will your mother and I and your brothers actually come and bow down to the ground before you?” (niv)
