Soon Joseph had another dream, and again he told his brothers about it.“ Listen, I have had another dream,” he said.“ The sun, moon, and eleven stars bowed low before me!”

Then he had yet another dream, and informed his brothers of it, and said,“ Behold, I have had yet another dream; and behold, the sun and the moon, and eleven stars were bowing down to me.”

Then he dreamed still another dream and told it to his brothers, and said,“ Look, I have dreamed another dream. And this time, the sun, the moon, and the eleven stars bowed down to me.”

And he dreamed yet another dream, and told it to his brethren, and said, Behold, I have dreamed yet a dream; and, behold, the sun and the moon and eleven stars made obeisance to me.

Then he had another dream and told it to his brothers.“ Look,” he said,“ I had another dream, and this time the sun, moon, and 11 stars were bowing down to me.”

And he dreamed yet another dream, and told it his brethren, and said, Behold, I have dreamed a dream more; and, behold, the sun and the moon and the eleven stars made obeisance to me.

Then he had another dream, and told it to his brothers.“ Look,” he said.“ I had another dream. The sun, the moon, and eleven stars were bowing down to me.”

He dreamed yet another dream, and told it to his brothers, and said,“ Behold, I have dreamed yet another dream: and behold, the sun and the moon and eleven stars bowed down to me.”

“ These patriarchs were jealous of their brother Joseph, and they sold him to be a slave in Egypt. But God was with himand rescued him from all his troubles. And God gave him favor before Pharaoh, king of Egypt. God also gave Joseph unusual wisdom, so that Pharaoh appointed him governor over all of Egypt and put him in charge of the palace.“ But a famine came upon Egypt and Canaan. There was great misery, and our ancestors ran out of food.Jacob heard that there was still grain in Egypt, so he sent his sons— our ancestors— to buy some.The second time they went, Joseph revealed his identity to his brothers, and they were introduced to Pharaoh.Then Joseph sent for his father, Jacob, and all his relatives to come to Egypt, seventy five persons in all.

Joseph was still in his palace when Judah and his brothers arrived, and they fell to the ground before him.

But now that their father was dead, Joseph’s brothers became fearful.“ Now Joseph will show his anger and pay us back for all the wrong we did to him,” they said.So they sent this message to Joseph:“ Before your father died, he instructed usto say to you:‘ Please forgive your brothers for the great wrong they did to you— for their sin in treating you so cruelly.’ So we, the servants of the God of your father, beg you to forgive our sin.” When Joseph received the message, he broke down and wept.Then his brothers came and threw themselves down before Joseph.“ Look, we are your slaves!” they said.But Joseph replied,“ Don’t be afraid of me. Am I God, that I can punish you?You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good. He brought me to this position so I could save the lives of many people.No, don’t be afraid. I will continue to take care of you and your children.” So he reassured them by speaking kindly to them.

“ Now hurry back to my father and tell him,‘ This is what your son Joseph says: God has made me master over all the land of Egypt. So come down to me immediately!

“ We were out in the field, tying up bundles of grain. Suddenly my bundle stood up, and your bundles all gathered around and bowed low before mine!”

As for having two similar dreams, it means that these events have been decreed by God, and he will soon make them happen.

Its power reached to the heavens, where it attacked the heavenly army, throwing some of the heavenly beings and some of the stars to the ground and trampling them.

“ Yes,” they replied.“ Our father, your servant, is alive and well.” And they bowed low again.

Joseph prepared his chariot and traveled to Goshen to meet his father, Jacob. When Joseph arrived, he embraced his father and wept, holding him for a long time.

so that no one can criticize you. Live clean, innocent lives as children of God, shining like bright lights in a world full of crooked and perverse people.

Joseph responded,“ Both of Pharaoh’s dreams mean the same thing. God is telling Pharaoh in advance what he is about to do.

And Joseph provided food for his father and his brothers in amounts appropriate to the number of their dependents, including the smallest children.

“ My lord, previously you asked us, your servants,‘ Do you have a father or a brother?’

This time he told the dream to his father as well as to his brothers, but his father scolded him.“ What kind of dream is that?” he asked.“ Will your mother and I and your brothers actually come and bow to the ground before you?”
