耶和华对雅各说：“你要回你祖、你父之地，到你亲族那里去，我必与你同在。”

你从水中经过，我必与你同在；你趟过江河，水必不漫过你；你从火中行过，必不被烧，火焰也不着在你身上。

雅各就甚惧怕，而且愁烦，便把那与他同在的人口和羊群、牛群、骆驼分作两队，

若不是我父亲以撒所敬畏的神，就是亚伯拉罕的神与我同在，你如今必定打发我空手而去。神看见我的苦情和我的劳碌，就在昨夜责备你。”

在你一切所行的事上都要认定他，他必指引你的路。

只剩下雅各一人。有一个人来和他摔跤，直到黎明。

我也与你同在。你无论往哪里去，我必保佑你，领你归回这地，总不离弃你，直到我成全了向你所应许的。”

百姓必在锡安、在耶路撒冷居住；你不再哭泣。主必因你哀求的声音施恩给你；他听见的时候就必应允你。

于是，他们在苦难中哀求耶和华；他从他们的祸患中搭救他们，

并要在患难之日求告我；我必搭救你，你也要荣耀我。”

我要用燔祭进你的殿，向你还我的愿，就是在急难时我嘴唇所发的、口中所许的。

梦见一个梯子立在地上，梯子的头顶着天，有神的使者在梯子上，上去下来。耶和华站在梯子以上，说：“我是耶和华你祖亚伯拉罕的神，也是以撒的神；我要将你现在所躺卧之地赐给你和你的后裔。

神是我们的避难所，是我们的力量，是我们在患难中随时的帮助。

耶和华啊，我真是你的仆人；我是你的仆人，是你婢女的儿子。你已经解开我的绑索。我要以感谢为祭献给你，又要求告耶和华的名。我要在他众民面前，在耶和华殿的院内，在耶路撒冷当中，向耶和华还我的愿。你们要赞美耶和华！

雅各许愿说：“神若与我同在，在我所行的路上保佑我，又给我食物吃，衣服穿，使我平平安安地回到我父亲的家，我就必以耶和华为我的神。我所立为柱子的石头也必作神的殿；凡你所赐给我的，我必将十分之一献给你。”

我的心哪，你要称颂耶和华！凡在我里面的，也要称颂他的圣名！我的心哪，你要称颂耶和华！不可忘记他的一切恩惠！他赦免你的一切罪孽，医治你的一切疾病。他救赎你的命脱离死亡，以仁爱和慈悲为你的冠冕。他用美物使你所愿的得以知足，以致你如鹰返老还童。

但愿人因耶和华的慈爱和他向人所行的奇事都称赞他；

他若求告我，我就应允他；他在急难中，我要与他同在；我要搭救他，使他尊贵。

给我敞开义门；我要进去称谢耶和华！这是耶和华的门；义人要进去！我要称谢你，因为你已经应允我，又成了我的拯救！匠人所弃的石头已成了房角的头块石头。
