If you mistreat my daughters or if you take any wives besides my daughters, even though no one is with us, remember that God is a witness between you and me.”

Don’t treat my daughters badly. Don’t get married to any women besides my daughters. There isn’t anyone here to see what we’re doing. But remember that God is a witness between you and me.”

If you mistreat my daughters or if you marry other wives, God will see it even if no one else does. He is a witness to this covenant between us.

他们说：“倘若我们不照你的上帝耶和华说的去做，愿诚实可靠的耶和华作证指控我们！

因为他们二人在以色列做了恶事，与他人的妻子通奸。我没有差派他们，他们却奉我的名说假预言。我知道他们的所作所为，我对这一切了如指掌。’这是耶和华说的。”

万民啊，你们都要听！大地和地上的万物啊，你们要侧耳倾听！主耶和华从祂的圣殿里作证指控你们。

基列的首领们说：“我们必听从你的吩咐，有耶和华为我们作证。”

你们知道，我们没有花言巧语奉承人，也没有心存贪念，上帝可以为我们作证。

‘因此，人要离开父母，与妻子结合，二人成为一体。’这样，夫妻不再是两个人，而是一体了。因此，上帝配合的，人不可分开。”

你们还问为什么。因为耶和华在你和你的发妻中间作证，她是你的配偶，是你盟约的妻子，你却对她不忠。

撒母耳对他们说：“耶和华和祂所膏立的王今天为我作证，我没有拿过你们任何人的东西。”他们说：“是的，耶和华为证。”

妻子还在世时，不可娶她的姊妹，与她的姊妹性交，使她们彼此作对。

万军之耶和华说：“我要来到你们当中施行审判，速速作证指控那些行邪术的、通奸的、起假誓的、克扣工人薪水的、欺压寡妇孤儿的、冤枉异乡人的，以及不敬畏我的。
