對弟兄們說：「大家來堆積石頭。」他們拿石頭堆成一堆，於是在那裏，在石堆旁邊吃喝。

又对众弟兄说：“你们堆聚石头。”他们就拿石头来堆成一堆，大家便在旁边吃喝。

接著雅各對他的兄弟們說：「你們去撿石頭。」他們就把石頭拿來，堆成石堆，然後就在石堆旁邊吃喝。

亦命戚族積石、眾乃取石、積累為堆、共食其側、

亦謂戚族曰、爾可積石、乃群取石、積累為崗、共食於其上。

又謂諸兄弟曰、爾可聚石、眾乃取石、積累為垤、共食於垤上、

He said to his relatives,“ Gather some stones.” So they took stones and piled them in a heap, and they ate there by the heap.

He said to his relatives,“ Get some stones.” So they took stones and put them in a pile. And they ate there by it.

And Jacob said to his kinsmen,“ Gather stones.” And they took stones and made a heap, and they ate there by the heap.

Then he told his family members,“ Gather some stones.” So they gathered stones and piled them in a heap. Then Jacob and Laban sat down beside the pile of stones to eat a covenant meal.

Then Jacob said to his relatives,“ Gather stones.” And they took stones and made a mound, then ate there by the mound.

你搜遍了我一切的物件，你找到甚麼呢？可以放在你我弟兄面前，叫他們在我們兩個之間評評理。

約書亞把他們從約旦河取來的那十二塊石頭立在吉甲，對以色列人說：「日後，你們的子孫問他們的父親說：『這些石頭是甚麼意思呢？』你們就讓你們的子孫知道，說：『以色列人曾走乾地過這約旦河。』因為耶和華－你們的神在你們前面使約旦河的水乾了，直到你們過來，就如耶和華－你們的神從前在我們前面使紅海乾了，直到我們過來一樣，要使地上萬民都知道，耶和華的手大有能力，也要使你們天天敬畏耶和華－你們的神。」

丟石頭有時，撿石頭有時；懷抱有時，不抱有時；

至於你的神明，你若在誰那裏搜出來，就不讓誰活。當着我們弟兄面前，你認一認在我這裏有甚麼東西是你的，你就拿去吧。」原來雅各並不知道拉結偷了神明。

約書亞對他們說：「你們要過去，到約旦河中，耶和華－你們神的約櫃前面，按以色列人支派的數目，每人各取一塊石頭扛在肩上。這些石頭在你們中間將成為記號。日後，你們的子孫問你們說：『這些石頭對你們有甚麼意思呢？』你們就對他們說：『這是因為約旦河的水在耶和華的約櫃前中斷；約櫃過約旦河的時候，約旦河的水就中斷了。這些石頭要作以色列人永遠的紀念。』」以色列人就照約書亞所吩咐的做了。他們按以色列人支派的數目，從約旦河中取了十二塊石頭，正如耶和華所吩咐約書亞的。他們把石頭帶過去，到他們所住宿的地方，就放在那裏。約書亞另外把十二塊石頭立在約旦河的中間，在抬約櫃祭司的腳站立的地方；直到今日，石頭還在那裏。

他們拿下押沙龍，把他丟在樹林中一個大坑裏，上頭堆起一大堆石頭。以色列眾人都逃跑，各回自己的帳棚去了。

拉班帶着他的弟兄們去追他，追了七天，就在基列山追上了。

眾人在亞干身上堆了一大堆石頭，直存到今日。於是耶和華轉意，不發他的烈怒。因此，那地方名叫亞割谷，直到今日。

又在山上獻祭，請弟兄們來吃飯。他們吃了飯，就在山上過夜。
