I have the power to harm you; but last night the God of your father said to me,‘ Be careful not to say anything to Jacob, either good or bad.’

願亞伯拉罕的神和拿鶴的神，就是他們父親的神，在你我中間判斷。」雅各就指着他父親以撒所敬畏的神起誓，

若不是我父親以撒所敬畏的神，就是亞伯拉罕的神與我同在，你如今必定打發我空手而去。神看見我的苦情和我手的辛勞，就在昨夜責備了你。」

看哪，耶和華站在梯子上面，說：「我是耶和華－你祖父亞伯拉罕的神，以撒的神。你現在躺臥之地，我要將它賜給你和你的後裔。

夜間，神來到亞蘭人拉班那裏，在夢中對他說：「你要小心，不可對雅各說好說歹。」

現在，我勸你們不要管這些人，任憑他們吧！他們所謀所為若是出於人，必要敗壞；若是出於神，你們就不能敗壞他們，恐怕你們倒是攻擊神了。」議會的人被他說服了，

臨近坑邊，哀聲呼叫但以理。王對但以理說：「永生神的僕人但以理啊，你經常事奉的神能救你脫離獅子嗎？」

他說：「主啊！你是誰？」主說：「我就是你所迫害的耶穌。

約書亞對眾百姓說：「耶和華－以色列的神如此說：『古時你們的列祖，就是亞伯拉罕和拿鶴的父親他拉，住在大河那邊事奉別神。我將你們的祖宗亞伯拉罕從大河那邊帶出來，領他走遍迦南全地，又使他的子孫眾多。我把以撒賜給他，

尼布甲尼撒說：「沙得拉、米煞、亞伯尼歌的神是應當稱頌的！他差遣使者救護倚靠他的僕人，他們不遵王的命令，甚至捨身，在他們神以外不肯事奉敬拜別神。

「你們要對猶大王希西家如此說：『不要聽你所倚靠的神欺哄你說：耶路撒冷必不交在亞述王的手中。

於是彼拉多對他說：「你不對我說話嗎？難道你不知道我有權柄釋放你，也有權柄把你釘十字架嗎？」耶穌回答他：「若不是從上頭賜給你的，你就毫無權柄辦我，所以，把我交給你的那人罪更重了。」

王對但以理說：「你既能講明這奧祕，你們的神誠然是萬神之神、萬王之主，是奧祕的啟示者。」

現在我降旨，我所統轄全國的人民，都要在但以理的神面前戰兢畏懼。因為他是活的神，永遠長存，他的國度永不敗壞，他的權柄永存無極！

勇士啊，你為何作惡自誇？神的慈愛是常存的。
