她又怀孕，生了一个儿子，就说：“耶和华因为听见我失宠，所以又赐给我这个儿子。”于是给他起名叫西缅。

She conceived again, and when she gave birth to a son she said,“ Because the Lord heard that I am not loved, he gave me this one too.” So she named him Simeon.

She became pregnant again. She had a son. Then she said,“ The Lord heard that Jacob doesn’t love me very much. That’s why the Lord gave me this one too.” So she named him Simeon.

She conceived again and bore a son, and said,“ Because the Lord has heard that I am hated, he has given me this son also.” And she called his name Simeon.

She soon became pregnant again and gave birth to another son. She named him Simeon, for she said,“ The Lord heard that I was unloved and has given me another son.”

She conceived again, gave birth to a son, and said,“ The LORD heard that I am neglected and has given me this son also.” So she named him Simeon.

Then she conceived again and gave birth to a son, and said,“ Because the Lord has heard that I am unloved, He has therefore given me this son also.” So she named him Simeon.

Then she conceived again and bore a son, and said,“ Because the Lord has heard that I am unloved, He has therefore given me this son also.” And she called his name Simeon.

And she conceived again, and bare a son: and said, Because Jehovah hath heard that I am hated, he hath therefore given me this son also: and she called his name Simeon.

到了第三天，他们正在疼痛的时候，雅各的两个儿子，就是底拿的哥哥西缅和利未拿着刀剑，趁着他们想不到的时候，进了那城，把所有的男子都杀了。

西缅和利未是兄弟；他们的刀剑是强暴的武器。我的灵啊，不可加入他们的阴谋；我的心啊，不可参与他们的集会，因为他们在怒中杀人，任意砍断牛的腿筋。

利亚说：“神给了我酬报，因为我把我的婢女给了我的丈夫。”于是给孩子起名叫以萨迦。

利亚说：“神把美好的礼物送了给我，这一次我的丈夫要抬举我了，因为我给他生了六个儿子。”于是给孩子起名叫西布伦。

约瑟转身离开他们，哭了一阵，又回到他们那里，与他们说话。然后从他们中间拉出西缅来，在他们眼前把他捆绑起来。

利亚的儿子有：雅各的长子流本，以及西缅、利未、犹大、以萨迦和西布伦。

拉结说：“神为我伸了冤，也垂听了我的声音，赐给我一个儿子。”所以给他起名叫但。

拉结说：“我与姊姊大大地相争﹙“大大地相争”直译是“以神的相争来相争”﹚，我得胜了。”于是给孩子起名叫拿弗他利﹙“拿弗他利”的意思是“相争”﹚。

雅各对西缅和利未说：“你们连累了我，使我在这地的居民，就是在迦南人和比利洗人中间，成了可憎的人。我们人数不多，如果他们联合起来对付我，攻击我，我和我的家就必灭绝了。”
