ヨハネの福音書 2:1-10
On the third day a wedding took place at Cana in Galilee. Jesus’ mother was there, and Jesus and his disciples had also been invited to the wedding. When the wine was gone, Jesus’ mother said to him,“ They have no more wine.”“ Woman, why do you involve me?” Jesus replied.“ My hour has not yet come.”His mother said to the servants,“ Do whatever he tells you.”Nearby stood six stone water jars, the kind used by the Jews for ceremonial washing, each holding from twenty to thirty gallons.Jesus said to the servants,“ Fill the jars with water”; so they filled them to the brim. Then he told them,“ Now draw some out and take it to the master of the banquet.” They did so,and the master of the banquet tasted the water that had been turned into wine. He did not realize where it had come from, though the servants who had drawn the water knew. Then he called the bridegroom asideand said,“ Everyone brings out the choice wine first and then the cheaper wine after the guests have had too much to drink; but you have saved the best till now.” (niv)

マタイの福音書 25:1-10
“ At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom.Five of them were foolish and five were wise. The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take any oil with them. The wise ones, however, took oil in jars along with their lamps. The bridegroom was a long time in coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep.“ At midnight the cry rang out:‘ Here’s the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!’“ Then all the virgins woke up and trimmed their lamps. The foolish ones said to the wise,‘ Give us some of your oil; our lamps are going out.’“‘ No,’ they replied,‘ there may not be enough for both us and you. Instead, go to those who sell oil and buy some for yourselves.’“ But while they were on their way to buy the oil, the bridegroom arrived. The virgins who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet. And the door was shut. (niv)

ルツ記 4:10-13
I have also acquired Ruth the Moabite, Mahlon’s widow, as my wife, in order to maintain the name of the dead with his property, so that his name will not disappear from among his family or from his hometown. Today you are witnesses!”Then the elders and all the people at the gate said,“ We are witnesses. May the Lord make the woman who is coming into your home like Rachel and Leah, who together built up the family of Israel. May you have standing in Ephrathah and be famous in Bethlehem.Through the offspring the Lord gives you by this young woman, may your family be like that of Perez, whom Tamar bore to Judah.”So Boaz took Ruth and she became his wife. When he made love to her, the Lord enabled her to conceive, and she gave birth to a son. (niv)

マタイの福音書 22:2-10
“ The kingdom of heaven is like a king who prepared a wedding banquet for his son.He sent his servants to those who had been invited to the banquet to tell them to come, but they refused to come.“ Then he sent some more servants and said,‘ Tell those who have been invited that I have prepared my dinner: My oxen and fattened cattle have been butchered, and everything is ready. Come to the wedding banquet.’“ But they paid no attention and went off— one to his field, another to his business. The rest seized his servants, mistreated them and killed them. The king was enraged. He sent his army and destroyed those murderers and burned their city.“ Then he said to his servants,‘ The wedding banquet is ready, but those I invited did not deserve to come.So go to the street corners and invite to the banquet anyone you find.’So the servants went out into the streets and gathered all the people they could find, the bad as well as the good, and the wedding hall was filled with guests. 士師記 14:10-18
Now his father went down to see the woman. And there Samson held a feast, as was customary for young men. When the people saw him, they chose thirty men to be his companions.“ Let me tell you a riddle,” Samson said to them.“ If you can give me the answer within the seven days of the feast, I will give you thirty linen garments and thirty sets of clothes. If you can’t tell me the answer, you must give me thirty linen garments and thirty sets of clothes.”“ Tell us your riddle,” they said.“ Let’s hear it.”He replied,“ Out of the eater, something to eat; out of the strong, something sweet.” For three days they could not give the answer. On the fourth day, they said to Samson’s wife,“ Coax your husband into explaining the riddle for us, or we will burn you and your father’s household to death. Did you invite us here to steal our property?”Then Samson’s wife threw herself on him, sobbing,“ You hate me! You don’t really love me. You’ve given my people a riddle, but you haven’t told me the answer.”“ I haven’t even explained it to my father or mother,” he replied,“ so why should I explain it to you?”She cried the whole seven days of the feast. So on the seventh day he finally told her, because she continued to press him. She in turn explained the riddle to her people. Before sunset on the seventh day the men of the town said to him,“ What is sweeter than honey? What is stronger than a lion?” Samson said to them,“ If you had not plowed with my heifer, you would not have solved my riddle.” (niv)
