When Esau heard his father’s words, he burst out with a loud and bitter cry and said to his father,“ Bless me— me too, my father!”

你們知道：就是後來他想要承受祝福，雖帶淚地尋求也被棄絕，尋不着改變心意之餘地。

所以他們必喫自己的所行之果子，必喫自己所計謀的到飽飫。

我呼喚，你們既不肯聽，我伸手，既無人理會，你們反而規避我所有的勸告，不情願接受我的勸責，那麼我、我當你們遭難時、也必發笑，當恐懼臨到你們時，我也必嗤笑；恐懼臨到你們、好像狂風，災難來到、如同風暴；艱難困苦臨到你們身上：那時他們必呼求我，我卻不應；他們必尋找我，卻尋不見；

耶穌對他們說：『你們要奮鬥，由窄門進入；我告訴你們，必有許多人尋求要進入，卻不能。趕到家主起來，關起門來，你們才要站在外面，敲門說：「主啊，給我們開吧」；他必回答你們說：「我不認識你們，不知道你們是哪裏來的」；那時你們就必說：「我們在你面前喫過喝過，你也曾在我們大街上教訓過人呀」。他必說：「我告訴你們，我不知道你們是哪裏來的；一切行不義的人哪，離開我去吧。」那時你們必看見亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各、和眾神言人、在上帝國裏，而你們卻被趕逐到外面；在那裏必有哀哭和切齒。

人的愚妄使他所行的敗倒，他的心就向永恆主生氣。

大衛和跟隨的人就放聲大哭，直哭到沒力氣哭。
