雅各對他父親說：「我是你的長子以掃，我已照著你吩咐我的去做了。請坐起來，吃我的野味，好為我祝福。」

Jacob said to his father,“ I am Esau your firstborn. I have done as you told me. Please sit up and eat some of my game, so that you may give me your blessing.”

Jacob said to his father,“ I’m your oldest son Esau. I’ve done as you told me. Please sit up. Eat some of my wild meat. Then give me your blessing.”

Jacob said to his father,“ I am Esau your firstborn. I have done as you told me; now sit up and eat of my game, that your soul may bless me.”

Jacob replied,“ It’s Esau, your firstborn son. I’ve done as you told me. Here is the wild game. Now sit up and eat it so you can give me your blessing.”

Jacob replied to his father,“ I am Esau, your firstborn. I have done as you told me. Please sit up and eat some of my game so that you may bless me.”

Jacob said to his father,“ I am Esau your firstborn; I have done as you told me. Come now, sit and eat of my game, so that you may bless me.”

Jacob said to his father,“ I am Esau your firstborn; I have done just as you told me; please arise, sit and eat of my game, that your soul may bless me.”

And Jacob said unto his father, I am Esau thy first- born; I have done according as thou badest me: arise, I pray thee, sit and eat of my venison, that thy soul may bless me.

Jacob replied to his father,“ I am Esau, your firstborn. I have done as you told me. Please sit up and eat some of my game so that you may bless me.”

And Jacob said unto his father, I[ am] Esau thy firstborn; I have done according as thou badest me: arise, I pray thee, sit and eat of my venison, that thy soul may bless me.

Jacob said to his father,“ I am Esau, your firstborn. I’ve done as you told me. Now sit up and eat some of my wild game so that you can bless me.”

But when evening came, he took his daughter Leah and brought her to Jacob, and Jacob made love to her.And Laban gave his servant Zilpah to his daughter as her attendant.When morning came, there was Leah! So Jacob said to Laban,“ What is this you have done to me? I served you for Rachel, didn’t I? Why have you deceived me?” (niv)

Then Isaac said to Jacob,“ Come near so I can touch you, my son, to know whether you really are my son Esau or not.” (niv)

The first to come out was red, and his whole body was like a hairy garment; so they named him Esau. (niv)

and Jeroboam said to his wife,“ Go, disguise yourself, so you won’t be recognized as the wife of Jeroboam. Then go to Shiloh. Ahijah the prophet is there— the one who told me I would be king over this people. (niv)

But he denied it before them all.“ I don’t know what you’re talking about,” he said.Then he went out to the gateway, where another servant girl saw him and said to the people there,“ This fellow was with Jesus of Nazareth.”He denied it again, with an oath:“ I don’t know the man!”After a little while, those standing there went up to Peter and said,“ Surely you are one of them; your accent gives you away.”Then he began to call down curses, and he swore to them,“ I don’t know the man!” Immediately a rooster crowed. (niv)

You boast,“ We have entered into a covenant with death, with the realm of the dead we have made an agreement. When an overwhelming scourge sweeps by, it cannot touch us, for we have made a lie our refuge and falsehood our hiding place.” (niv)

And if anyone still prophesies, their father and mother, to whom they were born, will say to them,‘ You must die, because you have told lies in the Lord’s name.’ Then their own parents will stab the one who prophesies.“ On that day every prophet will be ashamed of their prophetic vision. They will not put on a prophet’s garment of hair in order to deceive. (niv)

Prepare me the kind of tasty food I like and bring it to me to eat, so that I may give you my blessing before I die.” (niv)

“ Are you really my son Esau?” he asked.“ I am,” he replied.Then he said,“ My son, bring me some of your game to eat, so that I may give you my blessing.” Jacob brought it to him and he ate; and he brought some wine and he drank. (niv)

The old prophet answered,“ I too am a prophet, as you are. And an angel said to me by the word of the Lord:‘ Bring him back with you to your house so that he may eat bread and drink water.’”( But he was lying to him.) (niv)
