Jacob replied to his father,“ I am Esau, your firstborn. I have done as you told me. Please sit up and eat some of my game so that you may bless me.”

雅各对他父亲说：“我就是你的长子以扫，你吩咐我作的，我已经照样作了。请坐起来，吃我的猎物，好给我祝福。”

雅各对他父亲说：“我是你的长子以扫，我已照着你吩咐我的去做了。请坐起来，吃我的野味，好为我祝福。”

Jacob said to his father,“ I am Esau your firstborn. I have done as you told me. Please sit up and eat some of my game, so that you may give me your blessing.”

Jacob said to his father,“ I’m your oldest son Esau. I’ve done as you told me. Please sit up. Eat some of my wild meat. Then give me your blessing.”

Jacob said to his father,“ I am Esau your firstborn. I have done as you told me; now sit up and eat of my game, that your soul may bless me.”

Jacob replied,“ It’s Esau, your firstborn son. I’ve done as you told me. Here is the wild game. Now sit up and eat it so you can give me your blessing.”

That evening, Laban took his daughter Leah and gave her to Jacob, and he slept with her.And Laban gave his slave Zilpah to his daughter Leah as her slave.When morning came, there was Leah! So he said to Laban,“ What is this you have done to me? Wasn’t it for Rachel that I worked for you? Why have you deceived me?”

Then Isaac said to Jacob,“ Please come closer so I can touch you, my son. Are you really my son Esau or not?”

The first one came out red-looking, covered with hair like a fur coat, and they named him Esau.

For you said,“ We have cut a deal with Death, and we have made an agreement with Sheol; when the overwhelming scourge passes through, it will not touch us, because we have made falsehood our refuge and have hidden behind treachery.”

If a man still prophesies, his father and his mother who bore him will say to him: You cannot remain alive because you have spoken falsely in the name of Yahweh. Again he asked,“ Are you really my son Esau?” And he replied,“ I am.”Then he said,“ Serve me, and let me eat some of my son’s game so that I can bless you.” Jacob brought it to him, and he ate; he brought him wine, and he drank.

He said to him,“ I am also a prophet like you. An angel spoke to me by the word of the Lord:‘ Bring him back with you to your house so that he may eat bread and drink water.’” The old prophet deceived him,
