They answered,“ We saw clearly that the Lord was with you; so we said,‘ There ought to be a sworn agreement between us’— between us and you. Let us make a treaty with you

They answered,“ We saw clearly that the Lord was with you. So we said,‘ There should be an agreement between us and you.’ We want to make a peace treaty with you.

They said,“ We see plainly that the Lord has been with you. So we said, let there be a sworn pact between us, between you and us, and let us make a covenant with you,

They replied,“ We can plainly see that the Lord is with you. So we want to enter into a sworn treaty with you. Let’s make a covenant.

They replied,“ We have clearly seen how the LORD has been with you. We think there should be an oath between two parties— between us and you. Let us make a covenant with you:

They said,“ We have seen plainly that the Lord has been with you; so we said,‘ An oath must now be taken by us,’ that is, by you and us. So let us make a covenant with you,

But they said,“ We have certainly seen that the Lord is with you. So we said,‘ Let there now be an oath between us, between you and us; and let us make a covenant with you,

And they said, We saw plainly that Jehovah was with thee: and we said, Let there now be an oath betwixt us, even betwixt us and thee, and let us make a covenant with thee,

They replied,“ We have clearly seen how the Lord has been with you. We think there should be an oath between two parties— between us and you. Let us make a covenant with you:

And they said, We saw certainly that the LORD was with thee: and we said, Let there be now an oath betwixt us,[ even] betwixt us and thee, and let us make a covenant with thee;

They replied,“ We could plainly see that the LORD is with you. So we decided there should be a pact between us– between us and you. Allow us to make a treaty with you

They said,“ We saw plainly that Yahweh was with you. We said,‘ Let there now be an oath between us, even between us and you, and let’s make a covenant with you,

那時候，亞比米勒和他的將軍非各對亞伯拉罕說：「凡你所做的事，神都與你同在。我願你如今在這裏指着神對我起誓，不要虧待我和我的兒子，以及我的子孫。我怎樣忠誠待你，你也要照樣忠誠待我和你所寄居的這地。」

耶和華如此說：「埃及的出產和古實的貨物必歸你；身量高大的西巴人，他們必過來歸你，為你所有。他們必帶着鎖鏈過來跟隨你，向你下拜，祈求你說：『神真是在你中間，再沒有別的，沒有別的神。』」

又叫米斯巴，因為他說：「我們彼此離別以後，願耶和華在你我中間鑒察。你若苦待我的女兒，或在我的女兒以外另娶妻，雖沒有人在場，你看，有神在你我中間作證。」拉班又對雅各說：「看哪，這石堆，看哪，這柱子，是我在你我中間所立的。這石堆是證據，這柱子也是證據。我必不越過這石堆去害你；你也不可越過這石堆和柱子來害我。願亞伯拉罕的神和拿鶴的神，就是他們父親的神，在你我中間判斷。」雅各就指着他父親以撒所敬畏的神起誓，

我要叫你指着耶和華－天和地的神起誓，不要為我兒子娶我所居住的迦南地的女子為妻。

既是這樣，我們對這些事還要怎麼說呢？神若幫助我們，誰能抵擋我們呢？

人都是指着比自己大的起誓，並且以起誓作保證，了結各樣的爭論。

大衛的兒子所羅門鞏固他的國度；耶和華－他的神與他同在，使他極其尊大。

但你們要稱為「耶和華的祭司」，稱作「我們神的僕人」。你們必享用列國的財物，必承受他們的財富。

只要你到了我本族那裏，我叫你起的誓就與你無關。他們若不把女子交給你，我叫你起的誓也與你無關。』

他們的後裔必在列國中為人所知，他們的子孫在萬民中為人所識；凡看見他們的必承認他們是耶和華所賜福的後裔。

壓制你的，他的子孫必來向你屈身；藐視你的，都要在你腳前下拜。人要稱你為「耶和華的城」，為「以色列聖者的錫安」。

耶和華對約書亞說：「從今日起，我必使你在以色列眾人眼前被尊為大，使他們知道我怎樣與摩西同在，也必照樣與你同在。

自從主人派約瑟管理家務和他一切所有的，耶和華就因約瑟的緣故賜福給那埃及人的家；凡家裏和田間一切所有的，都蒙耶和華賜福。

不可貪愛錢財，要以自己所有的為滿足，因為神曾說：「我絕不撇下你，也絕不丟棄你。」

他心裏的隱情被顯露出來，就必將臉伏地，敬拜神，宣告說：「神真的是在你們中間了。」

所以他給那地方起名叫別是巴，因為他們二人在那裏起了誓。他們在別是巴立了約，亞比米勒就和他的將軍非各起身回非利士人的地去了。
