They answered,“ We saw clearly that the Lord was with you; so we said,‘ There ought to be a sworn agreement between us’— between us and you. Let us make a treaty with you

They answered,“ We saw clearly that the Lord was with you. So we said,‘ There should be an agreement between us and you.’ We want to make a peace treaty with you.

They said,“ We see plainly that the Lord has been with you. So we said, let there be a sworn pact between us, between you and us, and let us make a covenant with you,

They replied,“ We can plainly see that the Lord is with you. So we want to enter into a sworn treaty with you. Let’s make a covenant.

They replied,“ We have clearly seen how the LORD has been with you. We think there should be an oath between two parties— between us and you. Let us make a covenant with you:

They said,“ We have seen plainly that the Lord has been with you; so we said,‘ An oath must now be taken by us,’ that is, by you and us. So let us make a covenant with you,

But they said,“ We have certainly seen that the Lord is with you. So we said,‘ Let there now be an oath between us, between you and us; and let us make a covenant with you,

And they said, We saw plainly that Jehovah was with thee: and we said, Let there now be an oath betwixt us, even betwixt us and thee, and let us make a covenant with thee,

They replied,“ We have clearly seen how the Lord has been with you. We think there should be an oath between two parties— between us and you. Let us make a covenant with you:

And they said, We saw certainly that the LORD was with thee: and we said, Let there be now an oath betwixt us,[ even] betwixt us and thee, and let us make a covenant with thee;

They replied,“ We could plainly see that the LORD is with you. So we decided there should be a pact between us– between us and you. Allow us to make a treaty with you

They said,“ We saw plainly that Yahweh was with you. We said,‘ Let there now be an oath between us, even between us and you, and let’s make a covenant with you,

那时候，亚比米勒和他的将军非各对亚伯拉罕说：“凡你所做的事，神都与你同在。我愿你如今在这里指着神对我起誓，不要亏待我和我的儿子，以及我的子孙。我怎样忠诚待你，你也要照样忠诚待我和你所寄居的这地。”

耶和华如此说：“埃及的出产和古实的货物必归你；身量高大的西巴人，他们必过来归你，为你所有。他们必带着锁链过来跟随你，向你下拜，祈求你说：‘神真是在你中间，再没有别的，没有别的神。’”

又叫米斯巴，因为他说：“我们彼此离别以后，愿耶和华在你我中间鉴察。你若苦待我的女儿，或在我的女儿以外另娶妻，虽没有人在场，你看，有神在你我中间作证。”拉班又对雅各说：“看哪，这石堆，看哪，这柱子，是我在你我中间所立的。这石堆是证据，这柱子也是证据。我必不越过这石堆去害你；你也不可越过这石堆和柱子来害我。愿亚伯拉罕的神和拿鹤的神，就是他们父亲的神，在你我中间判断。”雅各就指着他父亲以撒所敬畏的神起誓，

我要叫你指着耶和华—天和地的神起誓，不要为我儿子娶我所居住的迦南地的女子为妻。

既是这样，我们对这些事还要怎么说呢？神若帮助我们，谁能抵挡我们呢？

人都是指着比自己大的起誓，并且以起誓作保证，了结各样的争论。

大卫的儿子所罗门巩固他的国度；耶和华—他的神与他同在，使他极其尊大。

但你们要称为“耶和华的祭司”，称作“我们神的仆人”。你们必享用列国的财物，必承受他们的财富。

只要你到了我本族那里，我叫你起的誓就与你无关。他们若不把女子交给你，我叫你起的誓也与你无关。’

他们的后裔必在列国中为人所知，他们的子孙在万民中为人所识；凡看见他们的必承认他们是耶和华所赐福的后裔。

压制你的，他的子孙必来向你屈身；藐视你的，都要在你脚前下拜。人要称你为“耶和华的城”，为“以色列圣者的锡安”。

耶和华对约书亚说：“从今日起，我必使你在以色列众人眼前被尊为大，使他们知道我怎样与摩西同在，也必照样与你同在。

自从主人派约瑟管理家务和他一切所有的，耶和华就因约瑟的缘故赐福给那埃及人的家；凡家里和田间一切所有的，都蒙耶和华赐福。

不可贪爱钱财，要以自己所有的为满足，因为神曾说：“我绝不撇下你，也绝不丢弃你。”

他心里的隐情被显露出来，就必将脸伏地，敬拜神，宣告说：“神真的是在你们中间了。”

所以他给那地方起名叫别是巴，因为他们二人在那里起了誓。他们在别是巴立了约，亚比米勒就和他的将军非各起身回非利士人的地去了。
