吾主請聽、爾在我中為尊大之牧伯、請於我塋地間、擇其佳者、以葬爾之死者、我中必無人禁爾葬爾死者於其塋地、

“ Sir, listen to us. You are a mighty prince among us. Bury your dead in the choicest of our tombs. None of us will refuse you his tomb for burying your dead.”

耶和華錫純嘏於吾主、使之昌大、金銀僕婢、牛羊駝驢、錫予不匱。

亞伯蘭聞姪被虜、遂率習練之僕隸、素育於家者、三百一十八人、追敵至但、

故竊哂曰、我老矣、我主亦然、豈復有生子之樂乎。

曰、吾主、僕不若此、祇為乞糴而來。

則當言此乃禮物、爾僕雅各饋吾主以掃者、雅各在後將至。

吾主所飲之器、用以卜者、豈非此耶。爾行是、不良孰甚。

其蓄積富厚、有金銀牲牷。

囑曰、可告我主、以掃云、主之僕雅各曰、我旅於拉班家、越至今日。有牛羊驢僕婢、特遣人告主、望沾主恩。○

曰、吾主請飲。乃急授器飲之。

拉結謂父曰、天癸適至、不得起迎、吾主勿怒。拉班遍索偶像、終不得見。○

亞庇米力與厥軍長、非各謂亞伯拉罕曰、汝凡所為、上帝佑之。

曰、願蒙主恩、我雖不如爾眾婢、爾嘗以善言慰藉。

耶和華又曰、埃及人貢其物產、古實人攜其貨財、西巴族軀幹雄偉、俱必歸誠於爾、為爾屬邦、自繫鐵索、跪於爾前、呼曰、惟爾國有上帝、其外無他。

向者得金於囊、我自迦南來、即反於爾、則我豈竊金銀於主室乎。
