Early the next morning Abraham took some food and a skin of water and gave them to Hagar. He set them on her shoulders and then sent her off with the boy. She went on her way and wandered in the Desert of Beersheba.

以色列帶着一切所有的，起身來到別是巴，就獻祭給他父親以撒的神。

清晨起來，大聲給朋友祝福的，就算是咒詛他。

有人遇見他在田野走迷了路，就問他說：「你找甚麼？」

亞伯拉罕把財物分給他庶出的眾子，趁着自己還在世的時候打發他們離開他的兒子以撒，往東方去。

他們清早起來彼此起誓。以撒打發他們走，他們就平平安安地離開他走了。

以掃帶着他的妻子、兒女，與家中一切的人口，並他的牛羊、牲畜，和一切貨財，就是他在迦南地所得的，往別處去，離了他兄弟雅各。因為二人的財物羣畜甚多，寄居的地方容不下他們，所以不能同居。

他們在曠野荒地漂流，尋不見可住的城邑，

他就給那井起名叫示巴；因此那城叫做別是巴，直到今日。

然而，那使女所生的是按着血氣生的；那自主之婦人所生的是憑着應許生的。這都是比方：那兩個婦人就是兩約。一約是出於西奈山，生子為奴，乃是夏甲。這夏甲二字是指着阿拉伯的西奈山，與現在的耶路撒冷同類，因耶路撒冷和她的兒女都是為奴的。

亞伯拉罕清早起來，備上驢，帶着兩個僕人和他兒子以撒，也劈好了燔祭的柴，就起身往神所指示他的地方去了。

因為希實本的田地和西比瑪的葡萄樹都衰殘了。列國的君主折斷其上美好的枝子；這枝子長到雅謝延到曠野，嫩枝向外探出，直探過鹽海。

所以他給那地方起名叫別是巴，因為他們二人在那裏起了誓。

亞伯拉罕在別是巴栽上一棵垂絲柳樹，又在那裏求告耶和華－永生神的名。

亞伯拉罕清早起來，到了他從前站在耶和華面前的地方，

奴僕不能永遠住在家裏；兒子是永遠住在家裏。

我急忙遵守你的命令，並不遲延。

耶和華的使者在曠野書珥路上的水泉旁遇見她，

以利亞見這光景就起來逃命，到了猶大的別是巴，將僕人留在那裏，

於是亞伯拉罕回到他僕人那裏，他們一同起身往別是巴去，亞伯拉罕就住在別是巴。

僕人和跟從他的人吃了喝了，住了一夜。早晨起來，僕人就說：「請打發我回我主人那裏去吧。」
