於是，亞伯拉罕連忙進帳篷對撒拉說：「快準備三斗細麵粉，和麵烤餅。」亞伯拉罕又跑到牛群中牽了一頭肥嫩的小牛，吩咐僕人趕快準備好。亞伯拉罕把奶、乳酪和準備好的牛肉擺在客人面前，站在樹蔭下招待他們。

婦人連忙宰了家中一隻小肥牛，又和麵烤了無酵餅，

基甸回家預備了一隻山羊羔，用十公斤麵粉做了無酵餅，把肉放進籃子，把湯盛在壺中，然後拿到橡樹下獻給耶和華的天使。

他們用從埃及帶出來的麵團烤成無酵餅，麵團沒有酵，因為他們被催促離開埃及，沒有時間準備食物。

所以，我們不可帶著歹毒邪惡的舊酵守這逾越節，而要用真誠純潔的無酵餅。

不要忘記款待客旅，因為曾經有人接待客旅時不知不覺接待了天使。

「我告訴你們，那人雖不念朋友之情，但是倘若你不肯甘休，繼續請求，他最終會起來滿足你的願望。

主人又說，『出去到大路上、籬笆旁硬把人拉來，讓我家裡座無虛席。

隨後，他在家設宴款待耶穌，赴宴的人中有許多稅吏和其他人。

村裡有人為耶穌預備了晚飯，拉撒路也與耶穌同席，瑪大在旁邊伺候。

一天，以利沙路過書念，那裡一位富有的婦人挽留他吃飯。此後以利沙每次路過那裡，總到她家裡吃飯。

「七天之內你們都要吃無酵餅。第一天，要清除家中所有的酵。任何人若在這七天當中吃有酵的餅，要將他從以色列人中剷除。

快到以馬忤斯村時，耶穌好像還要繼續前行。他們極力挽留祂，說：「天快黑了，時候不早了，跟我們一同住宿吧。」耶穌就和他們一起進村住下。

因為基督的愛激勵我們，因為我們確信：基督一人既代替所有的人死了，所有的人就都死了。

以撒漸漸長大，亞伯拉罕在他斷奶的那天擺設宴席。
